Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can now use a 10-hour EA Play trial of EA Sports FC 27 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox on PC. Anyone who buys the full game can carry their progress forward instead of starting the season over. Players comparing the trial with the full release can check the regional Steam access schedule in the regional Steam access schedule, which separates EA Play trial timing from Ultimate, Ultimate Plus, EA Play Pro, and Standard Edition access.
Xbox Wire’s announcement confirms that the trial is available on September 18. Members can also save up to 10% on the full game, FC Points, and other eligible EA digital purchases, alongside recurring rewards such as Ultimate Team Draft Tokens.
The trial arrives alongside the existing paid early-access period. Ultimate Edition owners already have access, while the Standard Edition is scheduled to launch on September 24.
What EA Sports FC 27 adds
On Xbox Series X|S, The Grounds gives players a social football space with three districts, Kickabouts, small-sided 2v2 matches, and Clubs-only 11v11 stadium tournaments. The mode also includes football mentors and activities built around meeting other players and developing Clubs.
FC 27 also brings gameplay changes focused on spatial awareness, curved runs, off-balance dribbling, redesigned set pieces, and a two-player header system. Football Ultimate Team adds the Gallery, where Player Items can be arranged into Sets across clubs, leagues, nations, and campaigns to build Gallery Levels and earn rewards.
Manager Career receives a rebuilt Transfer Market as well. Player values will take club buying power, potential, ratings, and form into account, giving transfers more factors beyond a single rating number.
EA Play members can also claim a reward tied to The Grounds by playing the mode before December 1. The Grounds remains exclusive to the Xbox Series X|S version, so Xbox One players can try the main game through the same trial without access to that mode.
