SMITE 2 Reveals Nox’s Shadow Kit and an Ember Warden Bundle Players Can Build

Nox's Aspect of Silent Night is scheduled for Nov. 6, and the Ember Warden event offers free rewards for its first 20 games.

SMITE 2 has revealed Nox as a new Classic God, with abilities built around silencing and disrupting enemies while using an ally’s shadow to move through a fight. Her Aspect of Silent Night is scheduled for Nov. 6, and the Steam announcement also details Ember Warden, a bundle event with customizable content and rewards tied to matches played.

Nox’s passive grants Intelligence as she casts abilities and lights candles. Shadow Lock travels through walls and damages minions and jungle monsters, but stops on an enemy god to root and cripple them while dealing damage over time. Siphon Darkness creates a delayed blast that silences enemies caught inside, while gods who escape before detonation take partial damage and are slowed.

Shadow Step gives Nox a dash that damages enemies in her path. If she reaches an allied god, she can enter that ally’s shadow and travel with them, then damage nearby enemies when she emerges. Her ultimate, Night Terror, passes through minions and explodes on the first enemy god, jungle boss, or Titan it hits, or at maximum range. The blast deals damage followed by damage over time, silences enemies, and weakens those hit.

Silent Night changes Nox’s kit toward protection. Her passive grants dampening and a magical shield, and Shadow Lock scales with magical protections. Siphon Darkness stops dealing damage but silences and slows for its duration. Shadow Step shields Nox and an ally, then fears enemies when she leaves the ally’s shadow. Night Terror deals less damage but creates a darkness dome that weakens and slows enemies inside.

Ember Warden lets players assemble a bundle from a choice of the Artemis Frostwarden or Vulcan Emberlord Saga, one of two new Traveler packs, a previously released Traveler pack, and a reward Traveler with 10,000 Wandering Market Coins. The new Traveler options include Bacchus, Izanami, Hecate, Kumbhakarna, and Mercury, or Baron Samedi, Kuzenbo, Cu Chulainn, Mulan, and Heimdallr. Previously released packs feature either Ravenstrike Nu Wa, Vampiress Sol, G.E.B. 1 Geb, Miss Senshi Bellona, and The Survivor Ullr, or Knit-Wit Anubis, Polar Prankster Danzaburou, Dark Lord Sun Wukong, Feline Fashion Awilix, and Sacred Arrow Rama. Apollo and Kali are the reward Traveler options.

Ownership of items already included in a custom bundle discounts its price. Players who own one Saga and all Travelers on one side can choose the other Saga, a new Traveler pack, and a reward for 4,000 Diamonds. Those who own both Sagas can instead select an upcoming Traveler pack and a reward pack for 3,000 Diamonds.

The event’s reward track grants items for the first 20 games played, including Wandering Market Coins, badges, a title, and a chest roll. Owning Artemis Frostwarden or Vulcan Emberlord, or purchasing either through the event, adds more coins, an animated badge, a Jump Stamp, Card FX, and another chest roll. Owning both Sagas also unlocks a free Ember Warden Traveler with additional Prisms for each Saga. Some Prisms for higher-tier skin forms require unlocking that form’s base skin first. The Vulcan Emberlord Saga also gains Prisms for earlier forms, where previously it only offered Prisms for the final form.

The update also includes an Izanami Aspect, two Wandering Market Travelers, and changes to gameplay and menus. Purification Beads will no longer cancel an aimed ability, Conquest bots regain their role passive after respawning, and shop and event timers will use the server clock. Dash fixes target more consistent movement under high latency. The new Half Life Classic Traveler offers three Prisms and a Skull Jump Stamp, while Bacchus Brewserker brings three Prisms, a title, and an announcer pack.
