Wardogs Season 2 now has a scheduled launch date. Bulkhead plans to begin the first season on October 15, 2026, 35 days after the game’s September 10 Steam Early Access launch. The official Steam announcement remains a short teaser that asks players to stay tuned, so the season’s content and gameplay changes are still being held for a later reveal.
The date fits Bulkhead’s earlier plan to bring Season 2 to players about a month after launch. CEO Joe Brammer said the team was already testing the season and had learned a great deal from feedback and gameplay data collected during the first week. He also described new content and changes that could include ideas cut to get Wardogs into Early Access. Season 3 is being planned around content that is now coming together, although neither season has a detailed feature list yet.
We’re entering the first phase of @WARDOGS perfectly acceptable decline where people start to find issues with the balancing, or just disagree with design decisions. So, let’s start the next phase of development…

The timetable arrives after Wardogs sold 2 million copies within five days of launch. Early momentum has now given way to closer scrutiny of the game’s systems, with Bulkhead asking players to identify the biggest problem they would change during Season 1.
Vehicles are one of the clearest areas the studio wants to revisit. Brammer acknowledged that Bulkhead is not satisfied with their current state, while also pointing to uneven results between Wardogs’ three teams. The mode puts three teams of 33 players into a fight for one control zone, which leaves little room for one team color to become a reliable prediction of the result.
Green wins most often, while Green and Red have otherwise remained fairly close. Brammer has said those two colors have stayed fairly even since pre-alpha, but Blue is being beaten badly. Players have reported losing streaks for each color, with Blue’s repeated losses standing out as the most obvious problem in the current results.
In a September 17 response to a claim that Red wins disproportionately, Brammer wrote, “We definitely have a balancing issue,” then added that “blue getting destroyed is definitely a problem with mixed reasons.” The comment acknowledges the outcome without assigning a single confirmed cause.
We definitely have a balancing issue,
But it's green team who win most of the time, green and red are fairly even.. and that's been the same way since pre-alpha. But blue getting destroyed is definitely a problem with mixed reasons.

Brammer agreed that the map may be part of the problem because Blue’s nearest towers sit on lower ground, but said randomizing team spawns between matches is not being considered as a temporary fix.
He also described the current decline in player enthusiasm as a normal part of the game’s early life, when players begin to identify balance problems or disagree with design choices. Brammer said the team still has the game’s direction in hand, while player feedback will help guide the work ahead.
October 15 is now the concrete milestone, but Bulkhead has not said which vehicles, map elements, or team systems will change first. Early improvements may arrive before Season 2 begins, leaving vehicle handling and Blue team’s map disadvantage as the clearest priorities for players to debate.
