Overwatch 2’s September 17 Hotfix Nerfs D.Mon and Brings Mercy Back to Stadium
D.Mon loses armor and weapon output, while Mercy returns to every Stadium queue.
Overwatch 2‘s September 17, 2026 hotfix is live, and D.Mon is taking the largest gameplay hit. The Tank loses armor in both 5v5 and 6v6, while her Focused Fusion perk and core weapons deal less damage. Mercy also returns to every Stadium queue after a gameplay issue disabled her.
Blizzard’s September 17 patch notes describe the release as a hotfix, with replay codes from the September 8, 2026 patch still available. D.Mon’s Propulsors now consume fuel faster, and Fusion Repeater’s cooldown increases from 4 to 5 seconds.
The update follows the September 10 hotfix, which focused on bugs affecting Ramattra, Jetpack Cat, and Vendetta. This release instead puts its balance changes on D.Mon before addressing Mercy’s Stadium availability.

- Armor reduced from 325 to 275 (5v5).
- Armor reduced from 300 to 250 (6v6).
Focused Fusion – Major Perk
- Damage per bullet reduced from 45 to 36.
Propulsors
- Fuel drain rate increased from 25 to 30.
Fusion Repeater
- Damage reduced from 16 to 15.
- Cooldown increased from 4 to 5 seconds.
Bug Fixes
Stadium
- Fixed a gameplay issue with Mercy in Stadium. She has been re-enabled in all Stadium queues.
D.Mon’s armor reduction is the clearest change for players who rely on her front-line durability, while the Focused Fusion and Fusion Repeater adjustments trim her damage output. The higher Propulsors fuel drain also gives her less room to stay airborne before returning to the fight.
