Phasmophobia 0.19.0.2 Fixes Room Access for Some PS5 and Xbox Players

The hotfix addresses room-entry problems for certain console players and muffled multiplayer audio caused by a Parabolic Microphone interaction.

Phasmophobia v0.19.0.2 is now live, targeting two issues that affected investigations. Certain PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players could not enter rooms in Singleplayer or Multiplayer, while another problem muffled player audio when someone dropped a Parabolic Microphone immediately after turning it on.

The hotfix follows Phasmophobia v0.19.0.0, which added Restricted variants for Prison, Brownstone High School, and Point Hope alongside evidence tracking changes and a long list of fixes.

Kinetic Games said the latest release responds to issues raised by the community in its official Steam update. The team kept the scope narrow, focusing on room access and multiplayer audio rather than introducing new content.

Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia is a cooperative horror investigation game played from a first-person perspective, supporting one to four players. Players take on the role of ghost hunters who must identify the type of ghost haunting a designated location by gathering evidence using various paranormal investigation equipment. The game features speech recognition, allowing ghosts and certain equipment to respond to words spoken by players. As investigators spend time at the site, their sanity decreases, eventually triggering hunts during which the ghost actively pursues and can kill players. The game includes multiple location types of varying size, twenty-nine ghost types each with unique behaviors and evidence, and a progression system where players earn money to unlock and upgrade equipment. Virtual reality is optionally supported.
