Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Will Showcase 7 More Weapons in New Videos

The lineup covers Gunlance, Insect Glaive, Hunting Horn, Heavy Bowgun, Lance, Switch Axe, and Long Sword, plus a recap of Boosted Actions for all 14 weapon types.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will bring seven more weapons into the spotlight through a fresh wave of Boosted Action breakdown videos. Gunlance, Insect Glaive, Hunting Horn, Heavy Bowgun, Lance, Switch Axe, and Long Sword will each receive a dedicated look, followed by a separate video covering all 14 weapon types.

Boosted Actions temporarily strengthen certain attacks and unlock new options through the Boost Bracer. Each weapon also has Boost Drivers, powerful attacks that trigger Boost and give the expansion’s combat system its own spin for every weapon type. Capcom outlined the new lineup in an official Steam announcement.

The new videos follow the earlier Great Sword preview, expanding the weapon-by-weapon look at how the Boost Bracer changes hunting.

Gunlance through Hunting Horn

Gunlance starts the new group of weapon-specific breakdowns.

Insect Glaive and Hunting Horn follow with their own Boosted Action videos.

Heavy Bowgun through Long Sword

The next videos cover Heavy Bowgun, Lance, Switch Axe, and Long Sword, completing the new set of seven weapon previews.

One video covers all 14 weapon types

A separate Boosted Action Breakdown brings the full weapon roster together, giving hunters one place to review the combat additions across all 14 types.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is scheduled to release in 2027. Access will require the base game and completion of the 7★ assignment Awaking From a Dream, according to the official Ascendance website.
