Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Will Put the Boost Bracer in the Spotlight Through September 15
2 opening videos will cover Boosted Actions and Great Sword changes before daily weapon clips continue through September 15.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will begin its combat preview on September 2, 2026, with 2 videos introducing the Boost Bracer and showing how it changes Great Sword attacks. The expansion is scheduled to release in 2027, and the schedule was detailed in a Steam announcement.
Activating the Boost Bracer temporarily improves certain actions and unlocks new attacks. Hunters can also trigger Boost Drivers, powerful attacks that activate Boost and add another way to use the bracer during a hunt.
The Boost Bracer starts the preview
The first video provides an overview of Boosted Actions, giving players an introduction to the expansion’s central combat addition.
Great Sword gets a dedicated breakdown
A second video focuses on the Great Sword and the actions added through the Boost Bracer. Some Great Sword actions have also changed outside of Boost, giving the weapon more updates to examine when Ascendance arrives.
Following the opening pair, daily videos will cover each weapon type on the official X account through September 15. The schedule may change, so the individual release dates are not guaranteed.
Access to Ascendance will require the Monster Hunter Wilds base game and completion of the 7-star assignment Awaking From a Dream, according to the official Ascendance website.
