Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Will Launch March 4, 2027 With Alpha Demo Available Now
The limited-time Alpha Demo includes part of the Changban stage and will remain available through September 30.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will launch on March 4, 2027, giving fans of Team Ninja’s action RPG series a new Three Kingdoms battlefield to master. The Alpha Demo is available now through September 30, as confirmed in PlayStation’s announcement.
The demo covers part of the Changban stage, where Chinese martial arts, demonic enemies, and legendary historical figures collide. Players can also try character creation and multiplayer co-op before the full game arrives.
Combat continues to revolve around a balance between offense and defense. The Deflect technique can nullify and redirect incoming attacks, while different weapons and Martial Arts techniques give players several ways to respond to dangerous enemies.
Insight Skills add another layer to encounters by strengthening the protagonist’s actions. They can help counter attacks, launch enemies into walls, or knock down foes attacking from above.
Changban and Red Cliffs become open battlefields
Wo Long 2 expands its version of the Three Kingdoms era beyond a straightforward march from one fight to the next. Areas such as Changban and Red Cliffs feature enemy strongholds and demonic lairs, with options to flank enemy lines, capture bases, set traps, or recruit opposing generals.
The story takes place in a dark fantasy version of the period, where elixirs of immortality and demons inspired by Chinese classical literature exist alongside famous warriors. Characters from the previous game return, but the campaign is designed so new players can follow it without needing to know the earlier story.
Defeating the demo’s Wuzhiqi boss will also unlock the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet for use in the full game. Team Ninja is asking demo players to complete a survey and share feedback before launch.
Pre-orders are available now, with the digital version offering the Creator Goddess Garb set as a bonus. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass, a digital mini soundtrack, and a digital mini art book.
