World of Warcraft: Forever’s Skyborne Race Will Require a $29.99 Heroic Pack

World of Warcraft: Forever will launch on November 4, 2026, with the Skyborne as a new playable race. Players who want to create a Skyborne character will need to purchase the $29.99/€29.99 Skyborne Heroic Pack, which also bundles several cosmetic and account-related bonuses.
Forever, also known as Classic+, will arrive with three new zones, revamped existing areas, more than 1,000 new quests, nine new dungeons, two new raids, and a new battleground. The subscription-backed experience will also add new skills, talents, professions, and other content without requiring a separate game purchase.
The beta is scheduled to begin on September 17, 2026. Full launch is planned for November 4 at 3 p.m. PST, as outlined in the November 4 launch schedule. Players will need an active World of Warcraft subscription for the wider Forever experience, while the Skyborne race and its starting zone remain tied to the separate Heroic Pack, as indicated by the Battle.net shop listing.
The Skyborne will be part of that larger launch lineup, giving the alternate version of Azeroth a race built around a mysterious kingdom in the sky.
The Forever reveal cinematic provides the first look at the Skyborne and their floating homeland. Blizzard has not shared every detail yet, but the footage establishes the race’s distinct visual identity and setting.
The Skyborne class options depend on faction
Skyborne characters will be able to choose Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, or Druid regardless of faction. Horde Skyborne can also become Shamans, while Alliance Skyborne can choose Mage.
Character customization will include new options across the race, with additional Druid forms available for players who choose that class.
The Skyborne Heroic Pack includes more than race access
At $29.99/€29.99, the Skyborne Heroic Pack will include access to the new race and its starting zone. Buyers will also receive an exclusive ground mount, a transmog set, the Shen’dorei Windwell toy, and Skyborne housing decor.
The pack will also provide early name reservation before World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4. Blizzard has not indicated in the supplied announcement whether the Skyborne will become available through another purchase option later, so the Heroic Pack is currently the confirmed route for playing the race.
