Sonic PICO PARK will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2026, bringing Sonic and his friends into the teamwork-focused puzzle format for groups of 2 to 8 players.
Players will race through stages filled with rings, loops, and springs as Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Tails, and other characters. Local and online multiplayer will both be available, giving larger groups a chance to solve puzzles together or create the sort of chaos that comes naturally with eight players sharing a goal.
What Sonic PICO PARK brings to Switch
The November 12 date applies to the Nintendo versions. Sonic PICO PARK is also planned for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series hardware, but no launch dates were provided for those platforms.
Tecopark developed the game, while Pico Park Inc. is publishing it. The project is one of the titles planned around Sonic the Hedgehog’s 35th anniversary, and an earlier Gamescom preview already detailed its 8-player focus, online play, and cross-platform capabilities.
A release-date trailer gives a closer look at the game’s Sonic-themed stages and pixel-art cast.
Nintendo players will get the first firm date, while fans on the other platforms will have to wait for more information about their versions.
