Bloober Team’s new story trailer confirms Cronos: Lazarus for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on December 3, 2026, at $9.99. A separate listing had shown December 5, while the Nintendo Switch 2 edition remains planned for Q1 2027.
The prequel follows the Pathfinder’s journey toward becoming the Warden. His revival mission must stay hidden from the Collective, whose envoy, the Tracker, is hunting him. Their clashes are described as large-scale cinematic encounters, and the Tracker can match the Warden in combat.
The Warden’s combat is more aggressive than the Traveler’s. He moves faster and hits harder, though years of harsh survival have left him diminished compared with other agents like him. Temporary invisibility and holographic decoys give him more ways to evade or misdirect enemies, while the Gladius is an upgraded version of the original game’s handgun.
A September preview of the Warden’s teleportation and disposable clone described teleportation as a way to escape or get behind enemies. The clone can draw enemy attention, though its lengthy cooldown limits how often it is ready.
The official trailer offers a closer look at the expansion’s story and combat.

Players who have not tried Cronos: The New Dawn can find it 50% off for $29.99 through November 2 across supported platforms. The PlayStation Store listing gives the same discount through November 4. A Steam bundle offers extra savings to players who own the Dead Space remake, and buying the game through the Epic Games Store includes the Traveler for Fortnite.
A free update for Cronos: The New Dawn also arrived earlier this week with Photo Mode, fixes, and quality-of-life changes, including the option to skip choice-based cutscenes. Photo Mode lets players pause gameplay to stage screenshots and add filters or stickers.
