STALCRAFT: X Adds 3 Lightning Rods and Cuts an Electrostorm Task to 300 Kills

The September 9 patch also lowers eruption artifact output by 28%, fixes missing Forge-11 event spawns, and adds the Typhoon Scout Supplies pack.

STALCRAFT: X has made several direct changes to the Electrostorm event, including activating 3 Lightning Rods at the same time and reducing the mutant-killing requirement from 500 to 300. The patch also lowers the player limit for Forge-11 instances and changes how artifacts are distributed during eruptions and Lightning Rod activities.

The update arrives during the ongoing Electrostorm event, which is scheduled to remain active through September 23. EXBO published the full changes in its September 9 announcement.

Electrostorm gets a new Forge-11 balance

Reducing the maximum number of players in each Forge-11 instance also reduces the number of artifacts created after eruptions by 28%. Snares and Mug now have the same drop chance as Larva, Black Hole, and Log when they appear after eruptions.

Lightning Rods now operate in groups of 3. Their individual chances of producing higher-rarity artifacts have been reduced, but the rods generate more artifacts overall. The patch also lowers the chances of several specific artifacts appearing from Lightning Rods, including Dumbbell, Amberite, Frame, Bracelet, Steel Hedgehog, Scrubber, Snake Eye, Polyhedron, Gum, Helium, Transformer, Mirror, Spiral, Shard, Atom, Prism, Sun, Radiator, and Viburnum Branch.

Electrostorm’s task for destroying mutants now requires 300 kills instead of 500. The update also fixes a problem that allowed Internal to drop from the ZIVCAS Raid event, along with an issue that prevented Zombie, ZIVCAS, and Mutant events from appearing in some Forge-11 instances.

Typhoon Scout Supplies joins the update

A new Typhoon Scout Supplies pack has been added for players preparing for missions in the Zone. The patch notes describe it as a supply option for Typhoon scouts dealing with harsh conditions and persistent anomalous activity.

Forge-11 and interface fixes

The central Burrow in Forge-11 now leads to the player’s faction base. Other fixes correct reward icons in the event tooltip, add Season Pass progress points, and stop the Lightning Rod and Chronorift timers from sticking to the center of the screen.

Electrostorm challenge descriptions have also been corrected, while most paints can now be applied to the Capper as intended. The notes also include several changes from previous updates, including a lower cost for refreshing weekly Operations tasks and rerolling basic completion rewards.
