The PS5 release calendar will add 20 PS5 games and one PSVR2 release between September 7 and September 11, 2026. Most of the lineup will arrive digitally. The schedule covers everything from survival and horror to racing, strategy, simulation and co-op chaos, with seven releases planned for both September 8 and September 9.
Most of the attention will go to Valheim, Mewgenics, Halloween: The Game and Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, but the week also includes several smaller releases. One entry, Detective VR, is listed for PSVR2 rather than PS5.
Games arriving Monday, September 7
- Port of Jumanah will combine 2.5D action, fast combat and roguelite elements. Players will take on the role of Mansour, a young man drawn into a series of events that leads to a world-saving journey.
Games arriving Tuesday, September 8
- Bus Simulator 27 will offer more than 45 officially licensed buses from 13 manufacturers, including Solaris, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, IVECO BUS, Scania and Volvo. The fleet will cover rigid, articulated, double-decker and electric buses, along with coaches designed for long-distance routes.
- Culdcept: The First Saturn Tribute will bring its blend of board-game movement and card-game strategy back to PS5.
- Halloween: The Game will take place in Haddonfield on Halloween night in 1978. Players will either control Michael Myers or take the role of a Hero of Haddonfield trying to save the town’s residents in an asymmetrical horror game.
- Honeycomb: The World Beyond will send bioengineer Hennessy to the alien planet Sota7 on behalf of EON Corp. The journey will involve studying unfamiliar ecosystems, collecting resources and dealing with lifeforms and hazards that could threaten the mission.
- Mewgenics will turn cats into a tactical fighting force. Players will breed their team, draft abilities, gather items and manipulate genetics across challenging turn-based roguelike adventures from the creators of The Binding of Isaac and The End is Nigh.
- Sprawl Zero will deliver a first-person shooter inspired by 2000s console FPS games, with an aesthetic and design approach that looks back to the period when shooters began expanding beyond corridors into larger worlds.
- Supermarket Simulator Manager will put players in charge of a grocery store. Stocking shelves, keeping customers happy, expanding the shop and unlocking new products will all be part of running the business.
Games arriving Wednesday, September 9
- Aerial_Knight’s Mr Freezy will pair light-hearted puzzles with a much darker premise. Its axe-wielding protagonist is a serial killer in New Detroit, and the story follows her attempt to uncover the truth behind the city’s infamous Mr Freezy.
- Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaker will offer hand-drawn 2D Metroidvania action. Beastmaster abilities, a sword that consumes hearts and decisions that affect the ending will drive the quest to save Arborea.
- Detective VR will be a PSVR2 investigation game built around controlling time, gathering clues and questioning witnesses to uncover the central mystery.
- Earth Must Die will center on a ruler defending the Tyrythian kingdom, a land built by her family, from the invading Terranoids. Its premise leans into a deliberately exaggerated conflict over the kingdom and its disputed history.
- The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline will cast players as Gabriele Alighieri, whose family duty is to reseal the gates of Hell. The descent into a psychological nightmare will also uncover secrets tied to the family’s ancestors and an inherited curse.
- Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic – The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil will revisit the Scarlet Mist Incident with fresh graphics and music. Reimu and Marisa will weave through dense bullet patterns, while the soundtrack will receive a full remake by ZUN.
- Valheim will finally reach PS5 as Iron Gate’s survival adventure for 1-10 players. Its procedurally generated purgatory draws on Viking culture and asks players to battle, build and conquer their way through the world.
Games arriving Thursday, September 10
- Brokenlore: Don’t Lie will be a Japanese psychological horror game focused on trauma, isolation and a fractured reality in which perception becomes harder to trust.
- Dumb Ways to Build will turn construction work into a physics-based co-op challenge. Crews will take on dangerous jobs, deal with safety violations and workplace disasters, and try to keep both the buildings and their friendships intact.
- Hazard Pay will combine pixel art with block-pushing puzzles. Players will move through abandoned, contaminated facilities, avoid environmental hazards and destroy evidence while completing an employer’s checklist.
- Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will expand the toy-car series into an open-world arcade racer. The preorder bonus includes the Boost’n’Slide Pack with the Driftsta and Power Pipes vehicles.
- RIN: The Last Child will follow RIN, the Creator’s last child, on a mission to restore balance to a broken world. Spell crafting, magical aspects, runes and boss fights against transformed siblings will shape the adventure.
Game arriving Friday, September 11
- NHL 27 will feature all 32 NHL arenas with team-specific goal songs, new pregame introductions and an overhauled crowd presentation designed around each building’s identity.
