Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 Will Bring Honkai Impact 3rd Into the Fight

The September 9 season will add a three-player roguelike mode, the Quantum Platform POI in Isolated, and a long-term path to a free Mythic weapon.

Call of Duty: Mobile will turn its next season toward Honkai Impact 3rd when Season 8, Against All Fate, arrives on September 9 at 5 p.m. PT. The update will add a three-player top-down roguelike mode, a limited-time Quantum Platform location in Isolated, and the game’s first Mythic Weapons Series Armory with three Mythic weapons.

The Call of Duty team detailed the plan in its official Season 8 announcement. The collaboration will reach Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and seasonal progression through story quests, a collection system, a character encyclopedia, a dormitory lobby, and three Operators inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd’s Valkyries. It follows Season 7’s Terminator 2 crossover with a very different kind of science fiction partnership.

Multiplayer gets a roguelike top-down shooter

Season 8’s main Multiplayer addition will send teams of up to three players into battles against waves of monsters and a final boss. Three maps will offer different difficulty levels, while XP and Elite Chests will provide upgrades such as Weapon Traits, Stigmata, and Chips.

Random drops and upgrade paths will give each run its own build. Teammates can revive players who are knocked out, which should make staying together a practical necessity when the enemy waves begin to grow. Endless mode will raise the pressure with increasingly difficult waves, and secret levels and enemies will give teams more reasons to search beyond the main route.

Quantum Platform adds a dangerous stop to Isolated

The limited-time Quantum Platform event will place Honkai Impact 3rd-inspired enemies and loot inside Battle Royale’s Isolated map. Squads must first complete a new contract, which will appear on the map and be announced through match-wide communications.

Completing the contract reveals a teleporter that the squad must defend while it charges. Surviving teams can then enter the portal and reach the Quantum Platform, where they will fight more enemies while searching for high-quality loot and special items tied to Honkai Impact 3rd. Returning to the teleporter sends the squad back to the main map for the rest of the match.

The free Mythic Weapon event will span multiple seasons

One of Season 8’s longer-term events will let players work toward one Mythic weapon at no cost. Weekly missions will advance the event, with players choosing between the ISO Hemlock (Core of Thunder), Static-HV (Core of Fire), and BAL-27 (Core of Reason).

The selection can be changed any time before the event is completed and the final reward is claimed. The event will run across multiple seasons and require more than several weeks of progress, including a number of harder challenges, so earning the weapon will take steady participation rather than a short burst of matches.

A separate Honkai Impact 3rd-themed event will award rewards for playing regular matches and interacting with Season 8 content. It will include lore additions, a collection space, and a social space, along with the Scylla as Rita Rossweisse Operator Skin, the Scythe (Aphrodite) Melee Blueprint, the Rosette Runners Camo, and a Predator Missile Scorestreak reskin.

More seasonal activities will follow, including an Arcade event with the Chuy (Bracken) Operator and weapon blueprints for the Locus (Hunter), QQ9 (Close Call), and Cronen Squall (Firebreak). A new Legendary Secret Cache weapon will also be inspired by the collaboration, with the Grau 5.56 (Rita’s Rose).

Battle Pass and Challenge Pass rewards

The Against All Fate Battle Pass will include free and premium Operators, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Vault Coins, and additional Call of Duty Points. The free tiers will feature the ISO Hemlock, an assault rifle built around high damage and low recoil for mid-range fights.

Premium tiers will add Keegan (Field Medic), Manta Ray (Mech Framewright), Cipher (Mech Pilot), and Corso (Plated Rogue), along with blueprints for the Striker (Chibi Chassis), SP-R 208 (Reclamation), Striker 45 (Assimilation), Static-HV (Overhaul), and ISO Hemlock (Diagnostics).

Players who purchase the Battle Pass Subscription will receive monthly rewards, a 10% boost to Player and Weapon XP, discount coupons, and limited discounts on 10x crate pulls. Ground Forces rewards will include the Price (Keyboard Warrior) Operator Skin, FR .556 (Second Nature), and Backpack 4 (Second Nature).

The Season 8 Challenge Pass will use Standard, Special, and Elite Missions to award Tokens for the Exchange. Its rewards will include the Static-HV, an SMG with a 50-round magazine and high fire rate, as well as the VMP (Stellar Radiance), Chibi Commando Charm, and other Epic items. New missions will appear in the in-game Events tab, while the Mission Board in the main menu will track seasonal activities.

Three Mythic Weapons headline the Store content

Three Honkai-themed Operator Lucky Draws will begin just after launch, starting on September 11 UTC. The Fire, Ice, and Thunder-themed draws will pair each Operator with a Legendary Weapon.

The first draw will feature Rin Yoshida as Herrscher of Thunder with the Katana (Domain of Sanction). The second will include Siren as Herrscher of Flamescion with the Nail Gun (Domain of Incandescence), while the third will pair Kestrel as Herrscher of Reason with the FHJ (Domain of Revelation). Each Legendary Operator will include floating mechanical arms, elemental ornaments, and other cosmetic effects.

Collecting all three Operators will unlock the EMP Systems (Snap Judgement) and Gunship (Thunderous Destruction) Scorestreak Skins, along with the Gravity Vortex Gun (Project Bunny) Operator Skill Skin, which is marked as pending IP review.

The Mythic Weapons Series Armory will offer the ISO Hemlock (Core of Thunder), Static-HV (Core of Fire), and BAL-27 (Core of Reason) together. Each weapon will feature its own design, elimination effects, inspection animation, reload animation, and other visual effects. Mythic upgrade paths for additional effects will be sold separately.

The Armory will also include more than a dozen extra rewards, including charms, stickers, frames, and themed throwables. Collection rewards will add Mythic Calling Cards, Legendary Frames, and new emotes for players who acquire most of the series.

Elsewhere in the Store, a Legendary Vehicle Draw will feature the Snowboard (Horizon Shredder) and Wingsuit (Air Drifter). Season 8 will also add the Dingo (Diamond Oracle) LMG Weapon Blueprint Reskin as its Prestige Weapon, earned through progress in Lucky Draws.

The Nightmare from Season 9 2021 and Shadow Operatives from Season 8 2024 will enter the Battle Pass Vault. Their returning rewards will include Nikto (Scarecrow), Artery (Nosferatu), Samael (Techno Thug), and Iskra (Toxic Shadow).
