Marvel’s Avengers ESRB Rating is T for Teen

After the first reveal explosion of Marvel’s Avengers, the title has fallen into a deep silence. Up until today, when the ESRB decided to speak, we haven’t heard anything about the upcoming game. The ESRB has enlightened the public with an official rating for Marvel’s Avengers. It is T for Teen.

The game has a mild level of blood and gore, and violence that is less sensitive for the youth. After all, Marvel’s Avengers is an upcoming game with the most favorite childhood heroes to many children across the globe. Its action sequences have been classified as mild and not aggressive, but yet shouldn’t cross anywhere below teen.

According to the official statement about Marvel’s Avengers rating, the ESRB said the following:

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the roles of the Avengers battling an evil corporation. From a third-person perspective, players engage in a variety of combat missions using each character’s weapons/abilities; characters use melee combat (e.g., punches, kicks, throws, smashes), pistols and machine guns, lasers, thrown projectiles (e.g., hammer, shield, rock) to defeat enemies. Combat can be frenetic, with frequent explosions, cries of pain, and gunfire. The word “sh*t” is heard in the game.

This is the second Marvel game in total that receives a T rating. Looking from our perspective on the rating, we would say, gratifying, fair, reasonable. The game is scheduled to come out on September 4 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
