Street Fighter Movie Trailer Gets a Playable YouTube Arcade Cabinet

Ryu and Ken’s latest clash is not confined to the screen. Legendary has turned the new Street Fighter movie trailer into a playable YouTube arcade cabinet, letting viewers interact with key moments instead of simply watching them unfold.

The interactive version recreates the trailer inside a classic cabinet with a CRT filter. QTE-style prompts appear throughout the footage and ask for player input, turning the promotion into a short playable sequence.

Arrow keys handle movement, while A, S, and D are used for punches, kicks, and special moves. Familiar fighting game inputs, including hadoukens, give the trailer tie-in more to do than simply tap through a standard promotional video.

Leave the virtual cabinet and a small room opens up around it, complete with movie posters and a vending machine. It is a compact touch, but it makes the trailer feel more like an arcade attraction than an ordinary video player.

Within the footage, Ryu and Ken’s troubled friendship takes center stage. The trailer trades the first clip’s broad action-comedy tone for tournament drama, old grudges, and plenty of familiar fighting moves. The hits land with a heavier physical feel than the games need, while catchy music and a comic stinger keep the adaptation from taking its colorful arcade roots too seriously.

The trailer opens with Ryu and Ken throwing themselves into an all-out fight before Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, urges Ryu to enter the World Warrior Tournament. M. Bison, played by David Dastmalchian, gathers top fighters for a contest with murky motives. Ryu’s goal is to bring Bison down, but the tournament’s hidden conspiracy forces him and Ken to confront one another as well as their past.

Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, gets to use his signature fireball, but E. Honda may steal the short trailer. Hirooki Goto’s character tears through what amounts to nearly his entire game move set in roughly 10 seconds, giving the sequence a clear connection to the source material without needing much explanation.

Dan Hibiki also gets his first look in the trailer, with Andrew Schulz playing the character. An earlier preview centered on Jason Momoa’s Blanka, whose scene brought the character’s green skin, orange hair, claws, rolling attack, and electric abilities into the live-action film.

Cody Rhodes plays Guile and Roman Reigns plays Akuma, bringing a pro-wrestling presence to a film already packed with larger-than-life fighters. The cast also includes Eric Andre, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Orville Peck as Vega, and Mel Jarnson as Cammy.

Kitao Sakurai directs from a screenplay written by T. J. Fixman and Sakurai. Gary Dauberman and Dalan Musson provided the story.

Danny and Michael Philippou, who were previously attached to direct the movie, will also appear in a cameo. Street Fighter will release in theaters on October 16, 2026.
