Splitgate 2 Developers Will Join Matchmaking at 4PM PT Before the P2P Switch
The September 1 session is planned as a sendoff before dedicated servers and matchmaking give way to peer-to-peer hosting and a server browser on September 3.

Splitgate 2 players will get one more chance to share matchmaking queues with the developers before the game’s online setup changes later this week. 1047 Games scheduled its Play with Devs session for 4PM PT on September 1, with the team inviting players to queue up and join voice chat during the event.
1047 Games laid out the plan in a Steam announcement. The session is intended to serve as a farewell run for the game’s current matchmaking environment, giving players a chance to play alongside the people working on Splitgate 2 before the service changes.
The September 3 transition will move dedicated servers and matchmaking to peer-to-peer hosting with a server browser. That leaves a narrow window for anyone hoping to join the developers through the existing matchmaking system, so the event’s 4PM PT start time is the key detail to keep in mind.
1047 Games has asked players to queue up with the team and take part in voice chat during the session. It should offer a more personal sendoff than a standard announcement, even as the game prepares to operate under a different online structure later in the week.
