Xbox Game Pass will start September with Shelldiver on September 1, followed by a steady stream of new games through September 15. Microsoft’s September 1 Xbox Wire update also confirms a full release for TCG Card Shop Simulator, an EA Play trial for EA Sports NHL 27, and a new monthly reward for Aniimo.
September Game Pass arrivals
Shelldiver is scheduled for September 1 across cloud, console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. This incremental adventure follows a turtle who fishes for jellyfish, sells the catch, upgrades equipment, and visits different ocean biomes and depths.
On September 3, SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed will arrive on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The sequel focuses on fast competitive co-op platforming, with online and local races for up to 8 players online. Rivals can swing across maps with grappling hooks, grab power-ups, and try to knock one another off-screen.
Dice a Million follows on September 4 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC. It joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass while also becoming available through Game Pass Premium. The roguelike deck builder centers on building a dice bag, then using rings and other tricks to chase a roll of 1,000,000.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will join cloud, console, and PC on September 8 for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. Raven Software’s single-player campaign sends players through locations including East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, and Soviet KGB headquarters as the story brings them into contact with historical figures and difficult truths.
September 10 brings two very different choices. The Royal Writ will be available on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. This medieval roguelike deck builder turns fallen heroes into part of a kingdom’s history while players deploy troops across a changing battlefield and accept the cost of sacrifice.
Also arriving September 10, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will come to cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for the same three Game Pass plans. Its new single-player World Stage journey is joined by cross-play, rollback netcode, enhanced Training tools, and Replay features for players preparing to fight online.
The biggest survival addition arrives on September 15. RuneScape: Dragonwilds will launch on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. Set on RuneScape’s Ashenfall, the co-operative survival adventure asks players to gather resources, build, craft, develop skills, and uncover ancient secrets before facing the Dragon Queen.
Games marked as available on handheld are optimized for handheld play.
September updates and subscriber benefits
TCG Card Shop Simulator will leave Game Preview and reach its 1.0 full release on September 15 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC. Players can build card decks for the Tetramon TCG, host tournaments, and manage their own shop.
EA Sports NHL 27 will offer a 10-hour EA Play Early Access Trial on console starting September 4. The trial includes the new Connected Franchise mode and an updated broadcast package. Players who purchase the full game will be able to carry their progress forward.
Starting September 16, Game Pass subscribers on Ultimate, Premium, Essential, and PC Game Pass can claim an exclusive monthly Aniimo reward pack. The pack includes 1 Aniipod Ultra, 15 Growth Flowers, and 300 Glimmer, with the game available across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Games leaving Game Pass on September 15
Ten games are scheduled to leave the Game Pass library on September 15. Their current platform availability is as follows:
