Grand Theft Auto VI Info Dump Claims a Permanent Criminal Profile and 6-Star Police Chases
TGG reportedly watched Rockstar North developers play for 2 hours after viewing the trailer shown on August 27, while Rob Nelson has also discussed how unnecessary violence could affect the criminal profile.

Grand Theft Auto VI could make every crime follow you long after the sirens fade. A new info dump attributed to YouTuber TGG describes a permanent criminal profile, smarter police searches, vehicle fuel, relationship choices for Lucia and Jason, and a world packed with systems that have not been detailed in a formal feature list.
The account says TGG visited Rockstar North, watched the trailer shown on August 27, 2026, and then spent another 2 hours watching developers play the game. He also reportedly met the head developers during the visit. The details below come from that preview account.

The visit follows earlier alleged leak claims that circulated before the August 27 presentation, including reports about gameplay clips and map material. This latest batch instead focuses on the systems that could shape ordinary moment-to-moment play.
A permanent criminal profile could track your worst decisions
- Criminal profile: GTA VI reportedly includes an honor-like stat that worsens when Lucia or Jason commits crimes such as robberies and killings. Successfully pulling off crimes without getting caught would not raise the profile.
- Permanent consequences: The profile has its own tab with a badge image. If the profile becomes bad enough, the badge can appear cracked, and that state reportedly cannot be reversed.
- A more reactive world: TGG described the world as more alive than previous GTA games. Players may need to keep making decisions because the environment reacts more actively instead of allowing them to play with their attention elsewhere.
- Lucia and Jason: Their relationship can reportedly improve or worsen. Texting each other, going on dates, and working out together can raise the relationship level, while the pair can also hold hands when roaming around together.
Comments from Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson add a more specific boundary to the system. In an interview with IGN, Nelson explained that players can rob a location, deal with someone who attacks Jason or Lucia, or complete a mission objective without automatically turning every encounter into a massacre. Repeatedly hurting people after the danger has passed, or creating chaos without a clear reason, could push the criminal profile in a different direction.
The idea recalls Red Dead Redemption 2‘s honor system, where choices could influence shop discounts, cutscenes, and dialogue. Rockstar has not said whether GTA VI’s criminal profile will affect prices, missions, relationships, dialogue, or story scenes in a similar way. Nelson also described Jason and Lucia as less dominant than earlier GTA protagonists: they will still be armed and powerful, but other people in the world can be dangerous too.
Vice City reportedly brings a much larger map and more player stats
- Map size: The full map was described as twice the size of Grand Theft Auto V’s map and 3 times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2’s map.
- Vice City: The city itself was reportedly twice the size of Los Santos. Vice City and its surrounding areas were described as 11 times larger than Los Santos and its surrounding area.
- Health, stamina, and focus: Three bars appear in the upper-left corner of the screen. Each can reportedly be raised temporarily or permanently.
- Consumables: Food, other consumables, and protein bars can push those stats beyond their normal limits.
- Focus: Activating focus slows time and reveals weak points on NPCs and vehicles, giving players more information before taking a shot.
Fuel, money, and travel add more everyday decisions
- Vehicle fuel: Cars reportedly need fuel, while electric vehicles must be charged.
- Three types of income: Players can have money in a bank account, cash on hand, and the value of loot stored in a duffel bag.
- Cash losses: Cash carried by the player can be lost after death or arrest.
- Stolen goods: Items in the duffel bag count as loot and must be taken to a fence before they can be turned into money.
- Bank deposits: Cash cannot be deposited directly through the phone. Players must use an ATM.
- Fast travel: Taxi rides and bus stops are among the many reported fast-travel options.
- Properties: Safe houses and garages are scattered across the map.
Police searches could make hiding much harder
The reported police changes may be some of the biggest differences from Grand Theft Auto V. Police vehicles would no longer appear on the mini-map, which means staring at the map and waiting for the search to end would not be enough.
- 6-star wanted levels: The highest wanted level is reportedly returning, although reaching 6 stars will not be easy. Once active, police can chase the player across the entire map.
- Search zones: Wanted levels below 6 stars reportedly use a small dark-red circle for the immediate crime area and a larger red circle for the wider search area.
- Smarter pursuit: Police are harder to lose and can shoot out vehicle tires during a chase.
- Vehicle trackers: Many vehicles have trackers, and every police vehicle reportedly includes one. A fence or Pay and Spray location can remove them, although not every Pay and Spray location is unlocked at the start.
- Recognizable appearances: Police can reportedly identify the player’s appearance, clothing, vehicle appearance, and weapons. They may also know whether the player was recently with Lucia.
- Changing your look: Switching vehicles and changing appearance are described as the best ways to break a pursuit.
The phone connects GTA VI to the living world
- Social media: The phone has a larger role, with parody social media apps that let players browse posts from NPCs.
- Real-time events: NPCs can reportedly post about events happening in the game world. Players may be able to find those locations and see the events unfold.
- New apps: The phone reportedly includes parody versions of Cash App and Uber, along with fitness, texting, and mechanic apps.
- NPC messages: Players can text other NPCs, adding another way to interact with the world and its characters.
- Fitness tracking: The fitness app can show workout times and the player’s fitness status.
Gyms are optional but surprisingly detailed
Fitness activities are reportedly deep enough to support their own routines, but they remain completely optional. Players do not need to use gyms to finish the game or interact with the system at all.
- Lucia and Jason can attend gyms together.
- Both characters reportedly need to buy memberships at the front desk.
- Changing rooms allow players to change clothes.
- Vending machines offer several choices, including protein shakes.
- Protein shakes provide stamina boosts, which allow Lucia and Jason to complete more workout repetitions.
- Bench pressing reportedly gave Lucia a 33% increase to her health stat.
Driving and combat are getting a heavier feel
- Driving: Vehicles reportedly feel heavier and less arcade-like than they did in Grand Theft Auto V, while top speeds are higher.
- Vehicle weak points: Shooting tires, engine blocks, gas tanks, and other weak points is reportedly more effective than before.
- Aim assist: Traditional auto-aim is reportedly gone, replaced by a more aim-assist-focused shooting system.
- Kill cams: The game reportedly includes kill cams similar to those seen in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Max Payne.
- Robberies: The robbery system was described as extensive, with the wider money and police systems affecting how players handle each job.
These reported systems point toward a GTA VI where a failed robbery, a damaged getaway car, or a careless phone interaction could have consequences beyond one quick police chase. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
