Whisper Town turns housework into detective work
Players work as Whisper Town’s all-purpose housekeeper. One request may involve helping someone settle into a new home, while another asks for a shop to be prepared, treasured belongings to be arranged, or a missing cat to be found. The goals are practical, but the objects inside each space can reveal memories, unfinished plans, and personal secrets.
There is not always a single correct way to arrange a room. Some assignments ask players to understand what a resident needs, while others leave more room for personal taste. Choosing where each item belongs becomes a quiet way of piecing together someone’s life.
Furniture, layouts, and tiny interactive details
Whisper of the House includes more than 1,800 furniture pieces and over 10 home layouts. Players can build a book-filled study, a plant-packed sunroom, or a thoroughly strange emergency hideout. Wallpapers, flooring, and some furniture can also receive color or texture changes, giving each room its own look.
The smaller details are just as important. An old gramophone can be played, a bath duck can be squeezed, and even a tissue can be pulled from its box. A museum contains the number 42 floating in the air, rumors mention a mischievous ghost near the well, and cracks in certain places hint at something that should not be possible. Letters add even more questions to the town’s quiet story.
The developers describe this mystery hunting as cozy snooping. Players can take their time, arrange rooms, and notice clues whenever they appear. The same attention used to place a keepsake perfectly may also reveal an object that does not belong.
Rewards and collected furniture can also be used to create a home for the player. It can be neat and minimal, packed with decorations, carefully themed, or wonderfully odd. There is no required style, so the space can grow alongside the stories discovered across Whisper Town.
