Pokémon GO’s November 2026 Community Day will feature Pawniard on Saturday, November 21, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Niantic’s official announcement confirms increased wild encounters and a limited-time evolution window for Kingambit with Kowtow Cleave.
Pawniard is a Dark- and Steel-type Pokémon that evolves into Bisharp. Fog and Snow can boost its wild appearances, and Pawniard may appear Shiny or with a Special Background during the event.
Kingambit learns Kowtow Cleave through 9 p.m.
Evolve Bisharp into Kingambit during the event or within four hours afterward, by 9:00 p.m. local time, to get the Charged Attack Kowtow Cleave. It has 75 power in Trainer Battles and 85 power in Gyms and raids.
Before evolving, Trainers must defeat one Dark- or Steel-type Raid Boss. The temporary requirement applies to every Bisharp, whether or not it is set as a Buddy, and is tracked separately for each Bisharp. Completing it during Community Day keeps it fulfilled afterward. At 9:00 p.m., Bisharp returns to its usual evolution requirements. Evolving Bisharp still costs 100 Pawniard Candy, and Pawniard needs 50 Candy to evolve into Bisharp.
Bonuses continue into the evening
During the three-hour event, Eggs placed in Incubators hatch at one-quarter of their usual distance. Catches give 2× Candy, and Trainers level 31 and up have twice the usual chance to receive Candy XL. Incense lasts three hours, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, while regular Lure Modules last one hour. Taking snapshots also brings a surprise.
Several bonuses last until 9:00 p.m. local time. Trades cost 50% less Stardust, and Trainers can make one additional Special Trade, for a maximum of two that day. Regular Lures have a very high chance to attract Pawniard at PokéStops during this window. Pawniard attracted by a Lure retain the event’s increased Shiny chance and may have a Special Background.
Research and ticket details
Event-themed Field Research can reward Stardust, Ultra Balls, and Pawniard encounters. Some tasks may lead to encounters with Pawniard featuring a Special Background. Checking in at a Community Ambassador event unlocks Timed Research with more Special Background Pawniard encounters and premium items.
The paid Special Research ticket costs US$1.99 or the equivalent local price. Rewards include three Special Background Pawniard encounters, additional Pawniard encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and other items. The research has no in-game medal or story. Tickets will be available later and can be gifted to Great Friends or higher who have not already purchased or received one. A Pawniard Community Day Ultra Ticket Box will also be available soon through the Pokémon GO Web Store for US$1.99 or local equivalent. It includes the event ticket and five Ultra Balls at no additional cost.
