Beta rewards reach Level 30
Weekend Two will let players begin at Player Level 1 or continue the progress earned during Weekend One. The level cap is 30, and reaching it unlocks all eight main beta rewards. Those cosmetics will be available in the full game at launch if they are earned during the test.

- Player Level 4: “Through the Paces” Legendary Emblem
- Player Level 8: “First Served” Weapon Charm
- Player Level 12: “Meonjeo” Legendary Weapon Sticker
- Player Level 16: “Last Charge” Legendary Calling Card
- Player Level 20: “Dread Tiger” Operator Skin – Reece
- Player Level 23: “Field Tested” Epic Spray
- Player Level 26: “Beta Rights” Epic Loading Screen
- Player Level 30: “Beta Forged” Weapon Blueprint – Han 86
Other rewards include three Emblems, three Calling Cards, one Spray, and three Loading Screens available by default. Completing the Mobility Course can award the Clockwork Charm, while Combat Record rewards include a classified Weapon Blueprint, Emblem, and Charm. Another challenge reward will remain classified during the beta.
Twitch Drops
Watching participating creators during the beta can unlock three more cosmetics: the “Get Tactical” Emblem after 15 minutes, the “Clearing House” Calling Card after 30 minutes, and the “Action Ready” Charm after 45 minutes. Players who need to connect their accounts can use Activision’s account-linking instructions.
Weekend Two adds a Campaign mission
For the first time in Call of Duty beta history, players will be able to try a complete Campaign mission before launch. In “Entrenched,” allied infantry and armored vehicles join a large-scale assault aimed at stopping enemy forces from destroying a strategically important nuclear power station.
The full Campaign will receive early access on Oct. 16 for digital pre-orders, one week before Modern Warfare 4 launches globally on Oct. 23, 2026.
Movement training, loadouts, and weapons
The Mobility Course provides a dedicated training facility for the game’s expanded movement and combat systems. Guided tutorials teach each maneuver before timed courses test movement, weapon handling, and marksmanship. Players can return to improve their completion times between multiplayer matches.
Multiplayer progression unlocks new weapons, Equipment, Perks, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks, and Create a Class options. Players can build up to 12 Custom Loadouts, with each loadout receiving its own Operator, weapons, Equipment, Perks, Field Upgrade, and Killstreaks. Create a Class unlocks at Player Level 4, and the beta includes 21 Operators, including characters available through the Vault Edition.
The beta includes 19 multiplayer weapons across nine weapon classes, plus three more weapons available through Default Loadouts or the Campaign mission. That brings the total to 22 weapons. Gunsmith and the Firing Range return, while fully leveling supported weapons unlocks Apex Attachments that provide gameplay effects without using an attachment slot. Gunny can also recommend builds using Attachments already unlocked.
Loadouts can include nine Tactical Equipment items, 11 Lethals, and 11 Field Upgrades. Players can equip up to three Killstreaks, with 17 available during the beta. The Pick 3 Perk System offers 18 Perks, with one selected from each of three Perk slots.
7 Core 6v6 modes and 6 multiplayer maps
The Open Beta will feature seven Core 6v6 modes: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, Inflation, and Hijack. Inflation turns every elimination into part of a growing fortune while making the player a more valuable target. Hijack revolves around carrying, throwing, and planting a Data Spike at the opposing Comm Station while defenders try to defuse it.
Six Core 6v6 maps will be available across the test:
- Hotel: Snow-covered rooftops around New York’s Hotel Times West connect through elevated walkways and multiple routes.
- Silkworm: A dense South Korean shopping district combines storefronts, alleyways, and apartments.
- Transit 213: An overgrown Indian bus depot uses rusting buses, hidden routes, and long sightlines to divide the battlefield.
- Cachette: This French hideout beside a rail terminal is packed with containers, rooftops, and tight interiors.
- Lotus: A battle-scarred Korean fishing village mixes narrow streets, burning buildings, abandoned armor, and longer sightlines.
- Lithium: A damaged lithium processing facility in rural Mexico features industrial buildings, processing equipment, interactive doors, and mid-range engagements.
More maps and multiplayer modes will become available as the beta continues, with further content planned for the full launch.
Kill Block, Ground War, and Warzone Resurgence
Kill Block gives Gunfight a changing combat space that rebuilds itself every two rounds. Each new Combo contains three interconnected Slabs and comes with a randomized shared Loadout. The mode supports classic 3v3 Gunfight, plus a 10v10 variant exclusive to Kill Block. Teams can win by eliminating the opposition or capturing the Overtime Flag.
Ground War will support 24v24 battles across two large-scale Combat Outpost battlegrounds in the Haijin region. One map focuses on rural terrain with fields, waterways, farms, a mill, roads, and rail lines. The other centers on the Wolves Stadium and includes multistory buildings, transit lines, tunnels, rooftops, and hillsides. Both combine infantry and vehicle combat.
Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence will also appear on Zodiac, a new map built around the DRC Advanced Systems drone assembly headquarters. Squads can fight through offices, manufacturing buildings, rooftops, tunnels, shipping docks, and the shoreline, with a central double Trackline and multiple trains cutting through the facility. Players can shorten teammates’ redeploy timers by completing Contracts while trying to outlast every opposing squad.
Infinity Ward leads development of Modern Warfare 4, with Beenox handling PC work alongside the studio and Digital Legends partnering on the Nintendo Switch 2 version. The game will launch on XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5®, PC through Battle.net, XBOX on PC, and Steam, as well as Nintendo Switch 2, on Oct. 23, 2026.
