Escape From Tarkov “The Tarkov Butcher” Quest Guide
Recover the underground chemical container on Ground Zero and stash it at the police-station playground on Streets of Tarkov.
The Tarkov Butcher is a Therapist quest with a pickup on Ground Zero and a drop-off on Streets of Tarkov. First, recover the chemical container from an underground truck trailer. Then take it to the playground by the police station, east of Pinewood Hotel, and stash it there.
Objectives
Accept the task from Therapist before searching for the container.
- Locate and obtain the chemical container on Ground Zero
- Stash the container by the police station on Streets of Tarkov
You need the Container with suspicious substance. This is a quest pickup, not a medical item or a container you can substitute from your stash.
Where to Find the Container on Ground Zero
Go into Ground Zero’s underground road tunnels and look for the refrigerated truck trailer in the main north-south passage. The trailer is south of the broad western tunnel junction and north of the southern access rooms.
Enter the trailer and check all 3 possible pickup positions rather than leaving after searching the first one.
- Inside the pig carcass opposite the first body.
- In the trash bag at the back of the trailer.
- In the snout of the pig head at the back of the trailer.
The container goes into your quest-item inventory when collected. It only appears while the task is active, and you lose it if you die before getting it out of the raid.
You can extract from Ground Zero and carry the container into a separate Streets raid. Before deploying again, check that it is in your in-raid quest inventory, not left in temporary quest-item storage.
Where to Stash the Container on Streets of Tarkov
Find Pinewood Hotel, between Klimov Street to the north and Nikitskaya Street to the south. Your destination is the neighbouring block immediately east of the hotel, not Pinewood’s own courtyard.
Enter the narrow playground courtyard by the police station. The playground equipment and police vehicles are useful landmarks when you reach the correct yard.
- Move into the playground with the chemical container in your quest inventory.
- Find the interaction point and wait for the Place prompt.
- Hold the interaction until the planting progress finishes. Do not move away before it completes.
- Check that the stash objective is complete, then claim the task rewards from Therapist.
The drop-off is on Streets of Tarkov. The Shoreline ambulance belonged to an older version of this task and is not the destination for these objectives.
