Sega’s 6 Games Are Playable at Gamescom 2026, From Persona 4 Revival to Sonic Pico Park

The demos cover Persona 4 Revival's 3 playable Channels, Crazy Taxi: World Tour's new Germany map, and Total War: Warhammer 40,000's first PlayStation showing.

Sega is putting 6 upcoming games into the hands of Gamescom 2026 attendees starting August 26, giving the public its first playable look at Persona 4 Revival, Total War: Warhammer 40,000, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, Stranger Than Heaven, Sonic Pico Park, and Alien: Isolation 2. The lineup jumps from supernatural mysteries to Ork battles, arcade driving, co-op puzzles, and a very bad day on an alien colony.

Sega detailed what attendees can play in a PlayStation Blog update, including new gameplay details for each demo and release windows for several of the games.

Persona 4 Revival puts 3 demo Channels on display

Persona 4 Revival returns players to Inaba, where a string of strange murders interrupts the quiet life of the rural town. The teenage transfer student and his friends must investigate the supernatural mystery surrounding the Midnight Channel, a TV phenomenon that reveals hidden secrets on rainy nights.

The Gamescom demo is split into 3 Channels, with each one focusing on a different part of the remake. Channel 1 starts near the beginning of the story in the eerie Shopping District, where players face the first Shadow, Spiteful Hablerie, and awaken the Persona Izanagi.

Channel 2 opens up Yukiko’s Castle for dungeon combat and ends with a boss encounter against Shadow Chie and her Persona, Tomoe. Press and creators can also access Channel 3, which spends more time on daily life in Inaba before sending players into Yukiko’s dungeon. That section introduces the Prime Time meter, which can power up heavy combo attacks.

Persona 4 Revival will launch on PlayStation 5 on February 18, 2027.

Total War heads to the far future with Warhammer 40,000

Space Marines and vehicles fighting across a Warhammer 40,000 battlefield

Total War: Warhammer 40,000 is bringing the strategy series to the grim darkness of the far future, and this entry will mark its first appearance on PlayStation. The Gamescom demo puts players in charge of the Space Marines across 3 scenarios that grow in size and difficulty.

The opening scenario drops players into a battle while teaching camera movement, unit selection, and combat. It also introduces the reinforcement system, which lets drop pods crash into the battlefield and deliver additional forces.

Scenario 2 begins with army customization. Players can choose their colors and heraldry, name their force, and then move through a small section of the galactic campaign. Basic strategic systems lead into a medium-sized fight against the Orks, allowing those customization choices to carry into combat.

The final scenario brings a much larger Space Marine force against a huge Ork horde on an Imperial battlefield. Vehicles and infantry collide across the war-torn environment, while unit abilities and battlefield decisions determine how the fight unfolds.

Total War: Warhammer 40,000 will arrive in 2027.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour adds a Germany map and a new drift

Developer: Sega

Crazy Taxi: World Tour taxi speeding through a city roadway

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is playable at Gamescom with its newly revealed Germany map, one of 5 international maps planned for the game. The area includes recognizable local landmarks and brands such as Puma and Zwilling, with winding roads that give the taxi plenty of room to get into trouble.

Drivers can practice the game’s Crazy Moves: Crazy Dash, Crazy Stop, and the new Crazy Drift. Nitro Boost adds another burst of speed, helping players cut through tight corners, race across fields, and chain together flashy maneuvers during extreme missions.

Players who cannot attend Gamescom can apply for the Multiplayer Closed Network Test, which will run from September 11 through September 13 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The test will focus on online multiplayer, including Pickup Race and Cops & Cabbies, while our Crazy Taxi: World Tour beta coverage has more information about those modes. Submissions close August 31.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour will speed onto PlayStation 5 in 2027.

Stranger Than Heaven visits 3 eras of Japan

Developer: RGG Studio

Stranger Than Heaven follows protagonist Makoto Daito through a 50-year journey across Japan. The Gamescom demo visits 3 of the game’s 5 eras and cities: the industrial town of Kokura in 1915, the snow-covered naval city of Kure in 1929, and the rain-soaked streets of Minami in 1943.

The demo also gives players a closer look at combat, which uses the shoulder buttons and triggers to control the left and right sides of Makoto’s body independently during street fights. The game will come to PlayStation 5 on January 15, 2027.

Sonic Pico Park supports up to 8 players

Developer: Pico Park Inc.

Sonic characters on a platform in Sonic Pico Park

Sonic Pico Park brings the puzzle-focused co-op play of the original Pico Park games into Sonic’s world. Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and Shadow the Hedgehog are playable characters, giving groups plenty of colorful options as they work through each puzzle—or get in one another’s way for some classic Sonic chaos.

Tecopark developed the game, while Pico Park Inc. is publishing it. Sonic Pico Park will launch later in 2026 with support for up to 8 players, online play, and cross-platform capabilities.

Alien: Isolation 2 begins on the Kurosaki colony

Developer: Creative Assembly

Dark industrial corridor in Alien: Isolation 2

The prologue for Alien: Isolation 2 takes place on Kurosaki, a Weyland-Yutani colony in a distant galaxy. Part of Sevastopol station, the orbital facility from the first game, has crashed on the planet’s surface—and the Alien has made the trip down with it.

Players take control of Blake, the new protagonist, as she investigates the wreck and accidentally frees the creature. From there, the demo turns into a desperate cat-and-mouse escape from the series’ familiar killing machine. Sega has not announced a release date for the sequel.
