The First Descendant Is Reviewing Abnormal Onslaught Activity Tied to Transcendent Weapons
Access to Onslaught is temporarily restricted while the team reviews play records and prepares measures against abnormal use of the mode.

The First Descendant team is reviewing play records after a problem in Onslaught allowed Transcendent Weapons to be obtained repeatedly through abnormal gameplay. Access to the mode is temporarily restricted while the investigation continues.
In a new Steam notice, the team connected the restriction to an issue previously mentioned in the August Known Issues notice. It apologized for the disruption and said it is examining records related to the affected gameplay.
Onslaught records are under review
The team is preparing measures against players who used the content through abnormal methods. The notice did not specify which penalties may be issued or when those decisions will be announced, so the current review does not yet provide a timeline for enforcement.
A fix for the underlying problem is also being reviewed alongside the necessary follow-up steps. Further information will arrive in a separate notice, leaving Onslaught access restricted until the team shares more details.
The investigation follows a separate recent weekly abuse review that recorded 239 enforcement actions for activity between August 14 and August 20, 2026, PDT. The new notice did not say whether any of those cases were connected to Onslaught.
