Pokémon GO’s GO Pass: September will give Trainers a chance to earn a Latios encounter, Rare Candy XL, Incubators, and more when the new pass begins on September 8. The pass will run from 10:00 a.m. local time on September 8 through 10:00 a.m. local time on October 6, with a special weekend that removes the daily limit on GO Points.
The pass arrives alongside the Twilight Trails season, which also begins on September 8. Pokémon GO’s official September announcement confirms that every Trainer will automatically receive the standard GO Pass when the event starts.
How GO Pass: September will work
Trainers will earn GO Points by completing Pass Tasks, then use those points to climb through the ranks and collect rewards. From 12:00 a.m. local time on October 3 through 11:59 p.m. local time on October 4, there will be no daily limit on the number of GO Points Trainers can earn.
The standard pass is free, but paid upgrades will offer more rewards and quicker progression. GO Pass Deluxe will cost US$7.99, while GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks will cost US$9.99 and automatically provide enough GO Points to reach Rank 11.
Upgrading later will still work. Trainers can purchase either Deluxe option at any time and claim rewards from ranks they already unlocked on both the free and Deluxe tracks. Rewards earned through the pass must be claimed by 10:00 a.m. local time on October 8, after which they will expire.
Web Store bonuses for September
GO Pass Deluxe will also be sold through the Pokémon GO Web Store. A Web Store purchase will activate as soon as the September GO Pass begins.
The regular Deluxe upgrade includes 10 Ultra Balls, 5 Max Revives, 1 Premium Battle Pass, and 5 Max Potions as a gift. Deluxe + 10 Ranks includes the same item types, but with 2 Premium Battle Passes instead of one.
Trainers who choose the web-exclusive GO Pass Deluxe: September Ultra Box will receive 20 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, 10 Max Potions, and 5 Premium Battle Passes as a gift with purchase.
Latios leads the reward track
Completing Pass Tasks can unlock an encounter with Latios, along with Rare Candy XL, a Premium Battle Pass, a Lucky Egg, and other rewards. A Shiny Latios encounter will also be possible for lucky Trainers.
GO Pass Deluxe adds one Timed Incubator, one Super Incubator, and more Pokémon encounters. The Timed Incubator becomes available at Rank 20 and works as an extra unlimited-use Incubator while it remains active.
That Incubator will last from the moment it is earned until one week after the September GO Pass ends. Its final expiration time is Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time, regardless of when the Trainer claims it.
Milestone bonuses and gift upgrades
Reaching certain ranks will unlock bonuses that affect trading, Gifts, Incense, and Egg hatching:
- Tier 1 — Rank 1: Trainers receive one additional Candy when trading Pokémon. Trainers at Level 31 or higher will also receive one guaranteed Candy XL from trades.
- Tier 2 — Rank 25: Trainers can open up to 40 Gifts per day, receive up to 125 Gifts per day from PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs, and hold 10 more Gifts in their Item Bag.
- Tier 3 — Rank 50: Daily Adventure Incense duration is doubled.
- Tier 4 — Rank 75: Hatching Eggs provides increased XP and Stardust.
Deluxe upgrades improve the Tier 2 bonus even further. Deluxe Trainers can open up to 50 Gifts per day, receive up to 150 Gifts from PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs, and hold up to 20 more Gifts in their Item Bags.
Latios is the big chase reward, but the October point weekend and the expanded Gift limits could make the September pass useful for Trainers who plan to play throughout the full four-week window.
