Bramblin will make its Pokémon GO debut during Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek, a seven-day event running from Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. through Monday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. local time. The official Pokémon GO announcement confirms the debut, while the event’s distance-focused research can take Trainers as far as 42 km.

Trainers can encounter Bramblin through GO Pass tasks, Field Research, and Incense. The Tumbleweed Pokémon will evolve into Brambleghast, although the evolution requirement in Pokémon GO has not been confirmed in the supplied event details.
The early event graphic carries G47IX branding and divides the Incense encounters into two windows. Its date cards place the first portion from October 13 at 10:00 a.m. through October 16 at 10:00 a.m. local time, followed by a second portion that runs until the event ends on October 19 at 8:00 p.m.

Mega Manectric reaches Super Max Level
Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek will give Mega Manectric its first opportunity to reach Super Max Level. Manectric will also gain the Charged Attack Discharge+ while Mega Evolved. The attack has 50 power in Trainer Battles and 150 power in Raid Battles, and it becomes stronger as Mega Manectric’s Mega Level increases.
Trainers must progress through the third Mega Level, Max, before moving on to Super Max. Mega Evolving Manectric alone will not complete that progression, and Mega Energy is also required to power it up.
Wild and Incense encounters change during the event
Ponyta, Doduo, Electrike, and Blitzle will appear more often in the wild throughout the event. Electrike will have an increased chance to appear as a Shiny, while Skarmory may appear as a rare encounter. Hisuian Growlithe will also have an increased Shiny chance during the second Incense window.
Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, will use two encounter pools. From October 13 at 10:00 a.m. through October 16 at 10:00 a.m. local time, Incense can attract Galarian Ponyta, Hoppip, Dwebble, Electrike, and Bramblin. The pool then changes to Hisuian Growlithe, Nincada, Helioptile, Electrike, and Bramblin for the rest of the event.
Distance research leads to marathon visor Pikachu
Event-themed Field Research will award encounters with Doduo, Electrike, and Bramblin. Some tasks will also provide Manectric Mega Energy or Rare Candy.
Free Timed Research will track 5 km, 10 km, 21 km, and 42 km distances. Each distance task awards 4,200 XP, for a total of 16,800 XP, and completing the full track leads to an encounter with Pikachu wearing a marathon visor. Every task must be completed and claimed before October 19 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
GO Pass rewards continue after the event
Trainers will automatically receive the free GO Pass: Fall Marathon when the event begins. Earning GO Points through Pass Tasks and ranking up through October 19 will provide event-themed Pokémon encounters, Incense, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls, and other rewards.
GO Pass Deluxe costs US$4.99 and adds more event-themed encounters, Incense, Manectric Mega Energy, Rare Candy XL, and additional items. The US$6.99 GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks option grants enough GO Points to reach Rank 7 automatically. Trainers can upgrade at any point and still claim rewards from ranks they unlocked earlier. Availability for the event ticket and GO Pass Deluxe may vary by region.
- Rank 10 makes regular Incense activated during the event last for two hours, excluding Daily Adventure Incense.
- Rank 20 provides 5× Mega Energy when walking with Electrike or Manectric as a Buddy after Mega Evolving Manectric at least once.
Rewards from either GO Pass track must be claimed by October 21, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The Pokémon GO Web Store will offer three GO Pass Deluxe upgrade options. The standard GO Pass Deluxe gift includes 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions. The GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks option includes 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, two Premium Battle Passes, and five Max Potions.
The GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks Ultra Box includes 20 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, 10 Max Potions, five Premium Battle Passes, one Incubator, and one Super Incubator.
Fall Marathon’s limited-time track will overlap with the separate October GO Pass, which is scheduled to run from October 6 through November 3. Trainers planning to work on both will have a busy stretch of tasks ahead.
Pokémon GO has used distance-focused marathon content before. Earlier Summer Marathon Timed Research included 5 km, 10 km, 21 km, and 42 km goals, although Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek gives those distances a new reward path.
