Windrose 0.10.0.9 Patch Notes Target Cannonball Damage

The patch addresses cannonball damage against sterns, sails, and hulls.

Windrose version 0.10.0.9 is aimed squarely at ship combat, with cannonballs receiving fixes for impacts against sterns, sails, and hulls. The Steam announcement is short, but the target is clear: cannon fire should register damage where players expect it to.

Both changes address ship-hit detection. A cannonball striking the rear of a vessel should now count, while hits against the sails or hull should also deal damage correctly. No new weapons, ships, or other gameplay systems were mentioned in the announcement.

This follows the previous Windrose patch, which dealt with long-range projectile registration and Japanese localization. Version 0.10.0.9 keeps the repair work focused on the game’s naval battles.

Windrose Patch Notes 0.10.0.9

The latest notes contain 2 fixes, both aimed at making cannonball impacts register properly across different parts of an enemy ship.

  • Cannonballs now correctly deal damage when hitting a ship’s stern.
  • Cannonballs now correctly deal damage when hitting a ship’s sails or hull.
