The First Descendant Season 4: The Great Clash is now live, bringing the Descendant Corps to its long-awaited confrontation with Karel. The update adds a new main quest, the Karel’s Mothership Mega Dungeon, roguelite-inspired Trials, a new Descendant named Raven, and a new tier of weapons.
Nexon’s Steam announcement for Season 4 also confirms expanded systems, balance changes, reward improvements, and a new Battle Pass. A broader overview of the season is available in the Season 4 video, while Raven receives a separate character showcase.
Karel’s Mothership brings the story to its final battle
The new Main Quest centers on the final showdown between the Descendant Corps and Karel, with the fate of Ingris at stake. That story continues inside Karel’s Mothership, a Mega Dungeon built around the decisive encounter with the final boss.
Players will fight Legion Commanders before reaching Karel, moving through multiple environments filled with different monsters. The dungeon has two difficulty levels, with the difference limited to the level of challenge, so players can choose the version that suits their current build.
Trials adds rounds, builds, and Variable Codes
Trials introduces roguelite elements to The First Descendant’s combat. Each Round sends players against increasingly powerful enemies, turning every run into a test of how far their setup can go.

Every run begins with a pre-configured Rotational Build. During the fight, players collect Variable Codes and combine them to improve their combat abilities. Those choices let each run develop around a different approach instead of relying on one fixed loadout.
Void Intercept Battle: Extreme is also open, allowing players to set their own challenge by combining Critical Point effects. Selecting more Critical Points raises the difficulty while increasing the rewards. A leaderboard ranks players by the total Critical Points attached to the Colossi they defeat.
Raven joins the Descendants with a shotgun-focused kit
Raven fights with a shotgun, using firearm attacks and movement-speed increases to deliver fast melee strikes. Her kit can deal extra damage for each pellet that hits an enemy, and two exclusive Transcendent Modules provide different ways to build her skills.
Transcendent Weapons go beyond Ultimate Weapons

Season 4 adds 11 Transcendent Weapons, a tier positioned above Ultimate Weapons. They come from existing combat activities, and each acquisition brings a different combination of abilities.
Transcendent Weapons can reach a maximum Quality of 400. Their stats rise with Quality, while higher Quality Ranges unlock stronger versions of the weapons.
Kyle, Keelan, and Trigger Modules receive combat changes
Kyle and Keelan both receive adjustments to their base skills and overall skill balance. Skill damage has been increased in several areas, selected effects have been improved, and reduced animation locks should make their abilities feel more responsive during combat.
Two Trigger Modules also join the system. Perfect Positioning uses Roll and Grappling Hook movement to raise maximum shields and skill power. Aesthetics of Violation helps manage skill cooldowns and raises skill power when fighting Commanders and Tyrants.
Fellows and combat rewards get an upgrade
The Fellow level cap has increased to Level 40, alongside improvements to Fellow abilities. Intercept Battles now grant Descendants invincibility until combat ends after a Colossus is defeated, preventing an unexpected death during the final moments of a successful run.
Crafting Material drop chances have also increased across several combat activities. Enemy fire direction and bullet trajectories have been adjusted to line up more naturally, while monster targeting and rotational movement have received similar improvements.
The Great Clash Battle Pass and Ultimate Bunny event
The Season 4 Battle Pass includes Seasonal and Weekly challenges, the Albion Heritage “Nightfall” Descendant Skin, the first Bike Skin, and rewards aimed at Transcendent Weapon upgrades.

The Boost Path: Ultimate Bunny Build Guide event is aimed at Descendants with Mastery Rank 20 or below. Completing its stages helps players build an Ultimate Bunny ready for a range of activities. Season 4 also includes a returning-player event and achievements tied to the new content, giving players more ways to collect event rewards.
