A WoW Player Lost Dundun Shards During Abundance Runs Below Level 90
The reported failure consumed eight shards from each of two level-82 characters, while a level-90 character completed the activity normally.

A reported World of Warcraft issue is consuming Dundun shards from characters below level 90 without properly starting the Abundance activity. One player said two level-82 characters each lost eight shards, while the same activity worked normally on a level-90 character.
In a Reddit post, the player explained that joining a group and spending the shards opened the door as expected. The shards were deducted, but the Abundance interface never appeared. Orbs could still be collected, although they were not visible, and waiting for the timer to finish did not send the character out of the activity. The player eventually had to use a hearthstone to leave.
Level 90 characters did not show the same problem
Further testing on another alternate character produced the same result. Spending the shards in different amounts did not help, and disabling every addon also failed to change the behavior.
The activity finally worked when the player tried it on a level-90 character. The report claims a total loss of 24 Dundun shards, but it does not establish whether every character below level 90 is affected or whether the issue is limited to certain levels or circumstances.
For now, players using lower-level characters may want to avoid spending Dundun shards on Abundance runs until the behavior is better understood. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, Telegram.
