Dune: Awakening’s Solo Mode Is Now Testing in Patch 1.5.1.0
The experimental Public Test Client build also adds character management, combat changes, performance work, and new customization options ahead of the September 22, 2026 console launch.

Dune: Awakening Patch 1.5.1.0 is now available on the Public Test Client, giving PC players an early look at the new single-player mode and character-focused structure before the console launch on September 22, 2026. Funcom outlined the test build in its Steam announcement.
This is an early experimental version, so players should expect work-in-progress features and placeholder elements during the testing period. The build will remain on the Public Test Client longer than usual as Funcom collects feedback and makes changes ahead of the September 22 release.
Solo play and character management arrive on the PTC
The biggest change is the new single-player mode. Players can choose from different difficulty presets or adjust individual game settings before heading out to survive Arrakis alone.
Patch 1.5.1.0 also introduces a character-centric experience. Characters can be created and browsed from the main menu, with players choosing where to take them each time they start a session. Testers can use the PTC-only Progression Unlock Panel to grant themselves resources, gear, XP, Journey chapters, faction ranks, and crafting materials while testing the new systems.
