Embracer’s 2027-2028 Release Plans Include a New Kingdom Come Game and Darksiders 4
Embracer's April 2027-March 2028 fiscal-year plan includes Darksiders 4 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, while the next Kingdom Come entry has no listed platforms and neither game has a firm date.

Embracer’s Q1 interim report for FY 2026/27 has placed a new Kingdom Come installment and Darksiders 4 in the company’s 2027-2028 fiscal year, which runs from April 2027 through March 2028. The release schedule appears on page 11, and a report from ixbt.games identifies both games as part of that future release period.
The schedule lists Darksiders 4 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, while no platforms are attached to the Kingdom Come entry. The Kingdom Come project does not have a final title in the announcement, and neither game received a specific launch day or month, leaving the fiscal-year range as the only timing attached to the news.
Darksiders 4 is being developed by Gunfire Games, the studio behind Darksiders 3 and the Remnant series. Announced in August 2025, the game is planned to let players choose any of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, with each character offering a different style of play.
Warhorse Studios’ next Kingdom Come project is described as another open-world RPG in the series. A July EUIPO trademark filing uses the name “Kingdom Come Salvation” and a logo styled after those from the previous games. Its service specification also includes online services that match users, but the filing does not confirm that this is the sequel’s final name or that online play will be part of the game. Its platforms remain unconfirmed.
The calendar is broad, but the signal is clear: both projects are planned for a future Embracer business period rather than being releases that are available now. More information will be needed before players know when either game will arrive.
For now, Embracer’s plans cover an unnamed new Kingdom Come game and the fourth Darksiders entry. Beyond the listed Darksiders 4 platforms and those limited project details, Embracer’s announcement does not provide further information about either game’s gameplay or story.
