Midnight’s Pre-Season Makes One Weekly Delve Map the Key to Hero-Track Gear

The Purging the Vaults weekly quest awards Trovehunter's Bounty, which guarantees Hero Track 1/6 gear from a Tier 8 or higher Delve.

World of Warcraft: Midnight‘s pre-season has a narrow reward path for players looking for Hero Track gear. Most available loot sources stop at Veteran or Champion Track items, but Trovehunter’s Bounty can guarantee a Hero Track reward once per week on each character.

Use the Delve Map, then complete a Tier 8 or higher Delve, and the reward will include a Hero Track 1/6 item. That makes the map the clearest way to reach Hero gear during the pre-season period.

How to get Trovehunter’s Bounty

Midnight Season 2 offers multiple ways to find a Delve Map, but the weekly quest Purging the Vaults on the Coiled Isle provides a straightforward route. Completing it awards one Trovehunter’s Bounty alongside its other rewards.

Each character can receive only one map per week. If Trovehunter’s Bounty does not appear as a reward from the quest, that character has already looted a map during the current week.

Purging the Vaults also grants one Venom-Cursed Fragment. Combining two fragments creates a random Champion Track item, giving the quest a second gear-related reward even after the weekly map has been used.

Where Delves fit into the Season 2 gear paths

For a broader look at how Delves compare with dungeons, raids, and crafted gear, the Midnight Season 2 gear chart breaks down the available upgrade tracks. For Hero gear during this pre-season window, though, the weekly map and a high-tier Delve are the combination to remember.
