Minecraft has taken a serious action-RPG turn with Craft to Exile 2, a mod pack that brings classes, talent trees, randomized gear, dodge rolls, and a long endgame campaign to Mojang’s sandbox. Its major 2.0 update is out now, adding an Atlas mapping system, pinnacle bosses, new classes, and plenty of ways to keep upgrading a character.
Craft to Exile 2 combines the ARPG mod Mine and Slash with other community-made additions and its own systems. The result is much closer to Path of Exile 2 or Diablo 2 than traditional Minecraft progression, with more than 250 quests spread across a campaign that includes dungeons, shops, and an epilogue.
A class-based campaign with deep character progression
Every character begins by choosing a class, then gains stats, skills, passives, and talents while working through the campaign. Later, players can specialize through an ascendancy such as Blood Mage, Arcane Elementalist, Bard, or Crit Berserker.
That progression is backed by unique and mythic items, gear crafting, Diablo-style runewords, and support gems that modify abilities. The 2.0 update also adds the Sanguimancer and Cryolancer classes, giving players even more ways to build a character around their preferred skills.
Craft to Exile 2’s endgame goes beyond The End
Once a character reaches Act Five and level 50, the mod opens its mapping system. These repeatable dungeons appear across different biomes and contain special enemies, bosses, and targeted loot rewards, giving the late game a much stronger reason to keep running content than simply defeating the Ender Dragon.
Update 2.0 expands that system with an Atlas modeled after the endgame structure in Path of Exile 2. Players move through a web of map types and spend points on an Atlas passive tree that lets them direct the kind of endgame they want to play. The right choices can favor a particular mechanic or improve the odds of finding certain rewards.
There is also an apex encounter waiting at the top of the progression. Players who work through the endgame can earn access to the mod’s ultimate pinnacle boss, creating a final test for the builds they have spent the campaign assembling.
Beyond maps and bosses, the update adds Shrines that provide temporary buffs, Strongboxes protected by groups of enemies, and imprisoned monsters. It also includes campaign improvements, five new map types, more unique items and runewords, and 25 additional crafting material types.
Craft to Exile 2 update 2.0 is available now. The mod pack can be downloaded through its CurseForge page.
