STAR WARS: The Old Republic Will Release Inactive Names on November 12, With Meirm Cicada GT for Subscribers
Free-to-play and Preferred players must log into characters not accessed since January 1 before the deadline, while subscribers on November 12 keep all names.

STAR WARS: The Old Republic is bringing back the Meirm Cicada GT for subscribers while preparing to release certain inactive character names on November 12, 2026, according to the game’s Steam announcement. Players with an active subscription during the reward window, from October 14 through November 12 at 11:00 a.m. CT / 3 p.m. UTC, will receive the mount.
The Meirm Cicada GT works with minipets and companions, though larger companions such as B3-S1 will not fit in its passenger seat.
Players subscribed on November 12 will keep all their character names. For Free-to-Play and Preferred accounts, a character name may be released if that character has not been logged into since January 1, 2026. To keep the name, log into that character before November 12. If a name is released, its former owner can rename the character for free the next time they log in.
After the release, other players can try to claim those names by creating a character or using the Rename: Character Name Consumable on an existing one. The consumable will be discounted by 90% for one week after November 12.
Players looking to add subscription time can also choose between the new Welcome Home Bundle and Master the Fight: Prepare for Battle Bundle, both of which include fixed subscription time.
Have you logged into every character whose name you want to keep before the deadline? For more on the Meirm Cicada GT reward and the upcoming name release, stay connected on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
