Echo defeated OG 2-1 in the Group 9 winners’ match of the Esports World Cup 2026 Open Qualifier, securing a place in the next stage. The series took place at the $100,000 LAN in Paris, and the result sent OG to the decider match

The match opened on Cache, where Echo earned a 13-5 win. OG responded with a 13-8 victory on Nuke, forcing a final map. Echo then closed the series on Mirage with a 13-7 result, matching the scoreline recorded on the HLTV match page.

OG picked Cache during the veto, while Echo selected Nuke. Mirage remained as the decider map, and Echo’s stronger finish there was enough to send the team through.

Echo moves on while OG enters the decider

Echo advances to the next stage of the qualifier, while OG must continue through the decider match. A VRS forecast for the matchup places Echo at #38, up from #42 with a projected gain of 21 points and a total of 1,384. OG is projected to move from #81 to #83, losing five points and reaching 1,086 total points.

Those VRS figures remain projections rather than an immediate official ranking change, since the ranking updates once per month.
