Pokémon GO Player Reports a 250-Point Daily Cap on GO Pass Progress

A screenshot shows the GO Pass screen displaying "Extra points earned today: 250/250" alongside the available point-earning tasks.

A Pokémon GO player has reported what may be a new daily limit on extra GO Pass points, with an in-game screen showing the account had already reached 250/250 points for the day.

The report came from /u/N0616JC, who said previous GO Passes allowed players to push through the final two or three days by completing more activities. The player claimed that the current pass instead stops awarding extra points after the daily limit is reached, potentially leaving less room to finish late rewards.

The screenshot shows Pokémon GO’s “How to Earn Points” panel. It says Trainers can earn up to 250 extra points daily by completing certain tasks, with examples including winning a raid for 100 points, hatching an Egg for 40 points, and catching a Pokémon for 5 points. The same screen shows the reported account at the full daily total.

This does not confirm whether the limit is newly added, intended behavior, or active for every player. It does, however, suggest that Trainers who were saving their final GO Pass progress for a last-minute push may need to check the cap before relying on extra tasks.

Scopely has not been shown to have provided an explanation for the reported limit. Players who have seen the same screen can share their thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
