Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 season is now live on PS5, bringing Yasmine to the roster alongside a large batch of balance changes. The update arrived on August 3, 2026, although the launch has felt quieter than some of the game’s earlier character releases.
Yasmine begins the game’s Year 4 Character Pass, with more fighters planned to follow. That lineup includes Tifa from Final Fantasy, giving players another major crossover character to anticipate.
Yasmine is also the franchise’s first Filipino fighter. Her arrival follows Ingrid, a character whose appearance drew plenty of attention, but this season does not add new World Tour content. That may be one reason the update has not generated the same level of conversation as previous additions.
The balance changes are the main draw for players focused on competitive matches. The adjustments affect the game’s fighters and should alter how some matchups play out. Capcom has published the full details in the Street Fighter 6 battle changes.
Yasmine’s moves will also be available to custom avatar characters. She will not appear in World Tour mode, but players can learn her techniques through Avatar Battle instead.
Yasmine’s arrival gives Street Fighter 6’s fourth year a clear starting point, even if the rollout has been fairly restrained. Share your thoughts on the update in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
