Monster Hunter Wilds Changes Its Base-Game Price on August 4

The new Gold Edition will bundle the game with cosmetic content, while two DLC collections will offer additional items separately.

Monster Hunter Wilds will move to a new base-game price on August 4, alongside several new purchase options for its cosmetic DLC. The change was detailed in an official Steam announcement, though the new price itself was not specified.

The main addition will be the Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition, which will include the digital base game and a range of DLC packs. Players will also be able to purchase the Cosmetic DLC Collection, containing previously released additional DLC, and the new Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack, which includes content not found in earlier packs.

Each option will come with premium bonuses tied to communication and cosmetic items. The content in these bundles can also be bought individually or through other packs, so players should check what they already own before purchasing. Duplicate purchases may not provide extra value.

The price change follows the retirement of several older bundle options, including the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and Cosmetic DLC Pass. Existing owners will retain access to those products, while their included DLC will remain available through individual purchases.

Free DLC and the 2027 expansion

The announcement also points to free content tied to MH Festa ’26. The Visitor Pack Pendants and select DLC, including the Rolling Poogie Sakura and Rolling Poogie Seasonal pendants, will be available at no additional cost.

Looking further ahead, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is scheduled to arrive in 2027. The expansion is described as a large-scale addition to the base game and is already available to wishlist on Steam.
