Throne and Liberty Update 4.5.0 Adds Ramux, New Guild Raids, and Heroic Gear Potential Abilities
The July 29 maintenance brought new Archboss weapons, Stone Grave Cradle trials, lower Inheritance costs, and a two-week Ascended Archboss event.

Throne and Liberty Update 4.5.0 was scheduled to enter maintenance on July 29 at 10:30 p.m. PT (5:30 a.m. UTC), with downtime expected to last approximately 3.5 hours. The patch adds the Ramux Archboss, two Guild Raids, new Dimensional Trial content, Heroic gear Potential Abilities, and a long list of class fixes and balance changes.
The update follows the recent 4.2.0 patch changes with another sizeable round of progression adjustments. The full official notes are available in the Steam announcement for Update 4.5.0.
Ramux leads the new content
The new Ramux Archboss is available through Peace and Guild-type events. The Archboss schedule now includes Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Ramux brings ten new Archboss weapons, each with a fixed item level of 85. The collection includes greatswords, daggers, crossbows, bows, staves, a wand, a spear, an orb, and gauntlets. Their weapon skills add new effects such as counter damage, Frost applications, defense-ignoring attacks, elemental combinations, crowd control, and stronger PvP or monster damage.
Ten Ramux weapon recipes require Thundercloud Scales as their main material, while another ten use Skill Cores. Weapons crafted with Skill Cores do not have a chance to receive Potential Abilities.
The standard Ramux weapon recipe costs 90 Thundercloud Scales, 260 Precious Rubrix or Precious Rubrix Ore, 1,000 Precious Magic Powder, 576 Noble Polishing Crystals, and 17,387,846 Sollant. The Skill Core recipe costs 20 Thundercloud Scales and 5,163,600 Sollant.
New trials, Guild Raids, and achievements
Stone Grave Cradle has been added to Dimensional Trials. Guilds at Level 30 can also access the new Thuban and Porfos raids.
A new Life > Furniture achievement category is available as well. The patch also opens a pathway to Ramux in Nix by adding pitons in Stillreach.
Progression costs and Potential Abilities
Equipment growth costs have been reduced, and Resonance Enhancement probabilities have been adjusted so an attempt will no longer produce a lower number than before.
Inheritance now requires 50% fewer gems. Players will receive a mail refund within 48 hours for the difference between the new cost and the gems already spent on previous Inheritance.

Heroic Equipment can now receive Potential Abilities. Weapons have an 8.3% chance to receive one when obtained, while armor and accessories have a 5% chance. Potential Abilities can also be transferred onto and off of Heroic Equipment.

Talandre Ascended Archboss Weapon levels have increased from 70 to 80, including weapons that players already own. Crafting recipes and materials for upgrading Ascended Talandre Archboss weapons will be added on August 26 with Update 4.9.0. Scorched material rewards from Deluzhnoa and Giant Cordy part destruction and drops have been increased ahead of that change.
Weapon and equipment adjustments
The class changes cover Daggers, Crossbows, Gauntlets, Longbows, Staffs, Wands, Spears, and several equipment sets. Daggers no longer consume Poison or Thundercloud stacks when triggering the related Inject Venom effects. Crossbows lose the 30% PvP damage reduction attached to several Skill Core: Support Fire abilities.
Gauntlets receive several changes. Chain Strike – [Smash Down] reaches 5 meters instead of 4 meters and can be used while Earthquake is active. Mobility Strike can now be charged while moving by default, Sweep’s movement speed bonus rises from 25% to 50%, and Explosive Flurry gains a cooldown-reduction specialization. Consecutive Claws can also be used while jumping.
Longbow fixes address Flash Arrow, Gale Arrow, Blitz, Torrent, and Eye of Ventius. Staff Skill Cores receive several damage increases, including Thunder’s Shadow from 60% to 120%, Lightning Condensation from 90% to 180%, and Thunderclouds Explosion from 60% to 120%.
Wand updates add the Nightmare Melody effect to the Nightmare description, correct the Magic Circle Expansion cooldown display, and add a sleep-duration increase to Skill Core: Nightmare Melody. The patch also fixes a Spear specialization interaction involving Rising Slash, Cross Cut, and Weaken effects.
