SAND: Raiders of Sophie Will Bring Back Trampler Capturing Next Week
Hologryph delayed the update again after testing exposed more false-positive ban risks and other critical build issues.

Trampler Capturing will return to SAND: Raiders of Sophie next week, but Hologryph has delayed the upcoming update again while it works through anti-cheat issues and other problems in the current build. The studio shared the latest status in its July 31 Steam announcement.
The feature was disabled several weeks ago so the team could collect reports about cheats and identify better ways to protect Trampler Capturing. Hologryph said the feature is especially exposed to teleportation and no-clip exploits, particularly when players have limited ways to report suspected cheaters after an expedition.
The most recent anti-cheat work improved the situation, and this update adds more detection systems. Testing also revealed a serious risk: legitimate players could be flagged by mistake. The team has spent the week testing detection methods and adjusting its checks, but it still has concerns about false-positive bans in the current version.
Why the anti-cheat checks need more testing
Movement checks have to account for a long list of situations. The system needs to tell whether someone is on foot or riding a Trampler, whether they have grabbed a ladder, and whether a Trampler is accelerating or has suddenly turned after hitting a rock or another Trampler.
It also checks where a player jumped from and where they landed. Network conditions, including high ping and packet loss, add another layer of difficulty. Hologryph said it has solved most of these cases, but a few edge cases and other build issues still need attention.
The studio now expects the update to arrive sometime next week. It also said that once Trampler Capturing is turned back on, it does not plan to disable the feature again. The new systems and anti-cheat improvements are intended to prevent the problems that led to its removal from returning.
