The Outlast Trials received a small Project Boneyard hotfix on July 25. The patch targets an out-of-memory error that could occur during Invasion 2.0 when players repeatedly opened and closed the loadout menu while watching Invasion cameras.
Red Barrels listed the fix in its official Steam announcement. No other gameplay changes were included in the notice.

This hotfix focuses on memory usage tied to the loadout menu and Invasion camera view. The official note is reproduced below.
- Fix an out of memory issue that could be caused when opening and closing the loadout menu several times while in invasion cameras.
The team also asked players to share feedback about their Invasion 2.0 playthroughs and the previous Season 6: Project Judas update through the channels listed in the announcement.
