Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is now open for pre-registration worldwide on the App Store and Google Play, giving mobile players their first chance to sign up for the upcoming free-to-play hero shooter. The game’s community reward campaign also features an exclusive Clank Suit skin for Widget as its top reward.
PlayStation shared the latest gameplay details in its Ranger Rumble announcement, confirming that the title has gone through regional soft launches in Canada, the Nordics, France, and parts of Asia. Developer Oh Bibi used player feedback from that testing phase while preparing the game for its worldwide release.
Fast PvP battles with a Ratchet & Clank twist
Ranger Rumble is built around real-time arena matches where players select heroes, use distinct abilities, and fire a collection of explosive weapons. Alongside player-versus-player battles, the game includes PvE elements that add enemy waves and other threats to the action.
The launch roster will include 12 heroes, with more planned for later. The lineup includes familiar faces, robots, aliens, and new Lombaxes created for the mobile game. Each character has a different playstyle, design, story, and collection of cosmetics.
Oh Bibi also worked directly with Insomniac Games on the new Lombaxes’ designs and backstories. Members of the original development teams contributed insights from earlier Ratchet & Clank games, giving the new characters a closer connection to the series.
Six modes arrive at launch
Players will have six game modes to choose from when Ranger Rumble becomes available. The selection includes team-based PvP, PvE battles against waves of enemies, a battle royale-inspired mode, and a football-inspired showdown where goals come with plenty of firepower.
The game is designed to carry over the franchise’s humor, characters, weapons, and colorful style while adapting the action for mobile matches. Its music also draws from the tone of the earlier games, with the team aiming to make the new experience feel connected to Ratchet & Clank’s history.
Pre-registration rewards include a Clank Suit for Widget
Every pre-registration will count toward shared community milestones. Reaching those milestones will unlock rewards for all eligible players, including Qredits, Reebos, and Raritanium. The full reward track is shown below.
The final milestone features the Clank Suit skin for Widget. If the community reaches that target, every player will be able to claim the skin when the global launch takes place. Rewards will be delivered through the in-game mailbox within 30 days of the official global launch, provided players have completed the tutorial.
Players can pre-register through the official Ranger Rumble registration page, which supports the App Store and Google Play. Oh Bibi has not announced a global launch date yet, but development is continuing ahead of the worldwide release.
