Rainbow Six Siege’s Next Patch Brings Mouse and Keyboard Support to Consoles

Y11S2.2 will also rework Arcade 1v1 Bomb, adjust four Operators, and fix several gameplay and voice-chat issues.

Ubisoft has published the official Y11S2.2 patch notes for Rainbow Six Siege. The mid-season update is scheduled to bring mouse and keyboard support to consoles, with those players entering the PC crossplay pool when using the control method.

Mouse and keyboard use will remain forbidden in the other crossplay pools. Custom Games will also gain a new Input Device option, letting hosts decide whether the control method is allowed. Console players using mouse and keyboard will gain access to text chat as part of the change.

The returning Arcade 1v1 Bomb mode is receiving a new map pool, revised matchmaking, and several rule changes. Coastline, Consulate, and Outback are joining the pool, while House is leaving it. The patch also changes Operator selection, preparation time, objective visibility, and the reinforcement count.

Operator adjustments focus on Dokkaebi, Wamai, Jäger, and Zofia, while Rauora, Melusi, Twitch, and Lesion receive smaller refinements. The update also includes fixes for the XK23, AI gadget deployment, and voice chat.

MOUSE & KEYBOARD SUPPORT ON CONSOLES

M&K is coming to consoles! Their use will be allowed in the PC crossplay pool, but will still be forbidden in other pools. Teams with console players will have stronger communication, as M&K makes text chat available to all. You can decide whether a Custom Game allows mouse and keyboard with a new Input Device option added to match settings.
