Relic Entertainment has shared a developer diary for Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand, giving players a closer look at the standalone wave-defense mode before its scheduled Steam launch on July 29.
The developer team discusses how Final Stand works, including its core gameplay loop and the ways it is designed to test both solo players and groups of two. The mode brings the series’ World War II strategy into a more focused battle against repeated enemy attacks.
Final Stand can be played alone or with a friend, and it does not require ownership of the main Company of Heroes 3 game. The mode is being presented as a direct route into the action, with replay value built around its wave-defense structure.
The full breakdown is available in Relic Entertainment’s Steam developer diary. Players can also find more details about the July 29 release in the earlier announcement covering Final Stand’s standalone wave-defense format.
Final Stand will arrive on July 29, giving Company of Heroes 3 players a separate way to test their battlefield decisions without committing to a full campaign or standard match.
