TF2’s latest patch tidies up cosmetic bugs

Valve's July 8, 2026 update fixed Unusual effect naming conflicts, visibility issues, and several item texture problems, and it installs on restart.

Team Fortress 2 received an update on July 8, 2026, and it installs automatically the next time the game is restarted. This patch stayed focused on item polish, with fixes for Unusual effects, style names, visibility issues, and war paint alpha channels.

The changes are small, but they should clean up a few rough edges for players who spend a lot of time looking at cosmetics and inventory items.
