During TI9, Valve has promised a new Dota 2 update that’s bound to add not only interesting content but most excitingly, add heroes to the already existing pool. Named the Outlanders, the update is scheduled to release this Fall, which is seemingly close, and may happen at any given time.
One of the pre-announced heroes is Snapfire, which, according to its first looks, is about to have a substantial impact on the supportive side. The second one was the Void Spirit, which skills make him master of space. Having the power to manipulate with space, we may receive the next “most interesting” hero from playing during the fall.
However, we have to remain and see what Icefrog will do in silence. No other voice would make any difference as we already know how Valve works when it comes to Dota 2. Picture perfect. Each update is a form of good coordination behind Valve employees that is scheduled to surprise the players across the globe.
After TI 7, Pangolier and Dark Willow were the guilty ones for spicing up the gameplay. Their set of abilities were considered for overpowered, which led to a harsh response on the counter side. One year later, Grimstroke and its magical ink have reached a strong position among supports, both in public and professional matches. Better said, each new hero and its abilities are considered for broken, and they usually face a fix in a short while.
But, being a 4th consecutive year for Dota 2, Valve may storm the content with a firm balance. Steady as it goes, Dota 2 may become a lot more exciting video game, taking into consideration the latest changes to the Matchmaking system.
Being on the verge of release, we’re looking forward to what Icefrog and his team could do to improve Dota 2.
