War Thunder patch 2.55.1.106 tidies up a few rough edges

The May 13 patch raised the Tu-95M's AM-23 turret fire rate and fixed hangar, interface, and mission bugs.

War Thunder update 2.55.1.106 went live on May 13, 2026, with a small set of fixes across aircraft, ground vehicles, the interface, and several missions. The most direct gameplay change in the patch was a substantial boost to the Tu-95M’s AM-23 turret gun fire rate, while the rest of the update focused on bug fixes and mission cleanup.

The patch also adjusted a few air and naval scenarios, including a carrier swap in Confrontation missions at Battle Rating 9.3 and above. On top of that, Gaijin fixed a couple of awkward mission placement issues and a crew training screen bug that stuck around longer than it should have.

  • [Front Line] Mozdok — the size of the playable area has been expanded so that the eastern team’s airfield is no longer located outside of the battle area in battles with a Battle Rating of up to and including 4.3. (Report, Report).
  • The HMS Ark Royal aircraft carrier has been replaced by USS Forrestal in Confrontation missions at Battle Rating 9.3 and above. HMS Ark Royal lacks proper AA defense, making it too easy a target.
