May 12 came and went without GTA 6 Trailer 3
Some fans pinned the trailer to a stack of timing clues, but Rockstar never put anything out that day.

GTA 6 Trailer 3 did not arrive on May 12, even though a lot of players spent the day convinced Rockstar had something lined up. The timing never looked especially solid, but that did not stop the theory train from filling up.
One of the bigger talking points was Take-Two’s May 21 earnings call. Trailer 2 landed nine days before the publisher’s quarterly report in 2025, so some fans treated the same gap as a clue this time around. Others pointed to the PS Store, where no sale was live on May 12 before a new one was due on May 13, even though that had little to do with Rockstar’s plans.
The other moment that stirred things up was the next Game Informer cover reveal, which turned out to be The Blood of Dawnwalker instead of a GTA 6 tease. That drew plenty of frustration from fans, even though the magazine had never promised Rockstar’s game would be on the cover.
Rockstar has already said GTA 6’s marketing cycle will begin this summer, so a third trailer is still coming at some point before launch. The game is due on November 19, which leaves room for more footage before release.
We will be watching for Rockstar’s next move, but the May 12 trailer theory has run its course. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
