Rockstar’s western classic is getting a PS5 disc release, and it lands soon
A new physical PS5 edition of Red Dead Redemption is listed for May 7 at €32.90, with retailer Wakkap currently showing the release before other stores do.

Rockstar Games appears to be bringing Red Dead Redemption back to shelves in physical form on PS5. A retailer listing spotted for the game shows a new disc edition for Sony’s current-gen console, with a May 7 release date attached.
The listing, currently visible on Wakkap, puts the PS5 physical edition at €32.90, which works out to just under $40. The page also shows the standard edition history fans would expect for the series, including PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch releases, while the new PS5 version is the one currently being highlighted.
The timing is a little odd, since Rockstar already gave Red Dead Redemption owners a free upgrade in 2025. That update brought a sharper presentation and better performance, but until now there was no physical PS5 disc to go with it.
For the moment, the PS5 appears to be the only format listed on the retailer page. That could change if more storefronts begin posting the same product, but at this stage only Sony’s console is being advertised.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Enhanced Edition has also been mentioned in separate reporting, so this physical release could end up arriving alongside more Red Dead conversation if that project surfaces later this year.
For collectors, this gives Red Dead Redemption one more shelf-ready version to chase. For everyone else, it is another reminder that Rockstar’s older catalog still moves enough to keep getting fresh treatment while fans wait on the next big thing.
